Please include pics in your post.

Where are the most scenic places in Ireland that you’ve visited?

Hopefully get some good ideas on places to visit.

I’ll start off with Sliabh Liag in Donegal. These pics don’t do justice to the place at all, it is breathtaking.

It's depends on your tastes but Ireland is blessed with wonderful coastline, breath taking mountains, rolling hills and expanses of bog, lakes, rivers, islands etc. I would have no one favourite among them but appreciate them all.

Just like the opening post these pictures do not do it justice.
The group in the second picture appear to be having a great bit of banter on their day out in Dollymount.

The Burren has an otherworldly feel. Some of the mountain scenery in Bearra is straight out of the Hobbit.

Bluestack mountains in Donegal. Particularly the Poison Glen.

the view out over the islands and Magheraroarty beach towards Tory.

Achill Island , particularly the cliff drive to Keem beach.

The Dingle Penninsula. Recently spent a few days there and the views from Slea Head and Connors Pass were incredible.

You don't always need to go west, though. Went to Howth and walked along the cliffs yesterday. Spectacular.

Some lesser known places along the east coast are lovely. In wexford for example there's a great walk from Cahore strand to Old Bawn beach.

Visiting Delphi in Co. Mayo on a secondary school trip really opened up my eyes to how beautiful some parts of Ireland are.

+1 For the Dingle Penninsula in paticular Slea Head. Spend a lot of time down there at weekends and there is nothing better than getting up Mount Eagle in the afternoon to clear the head.

Even though I'm from Killarney I'm still often wowed at the scenery...

    For example:

For some reason this picture reminds me of the problem Dougal had with the concept of small as opposed to far away........

It's all subjective really though? If this scene was in Australia, it would probably be a national monument with a mad name like 'the lonesome bollock' or sumsuch. People would travel from every continent to see it and spend a fkn fortune on rickety planes doing so. In Ireland it's simply an obstacle to give drunk drivers a little jab in the ribs and subconsciously proffer potentially life saving councel in regard to 'resting the oul eyes'. Then you have the weather. The most important topical issue of the day throughout pretty much the entire anglophone world. Simply put, some places look nice on bad days. Some sh*t places look pretty appealing on nice days. I digress, the Blue Pool in Glengarriff is mine. I have relatives in West Cork so I've many fond memories and it's where I'll retire to when I hang up the tools. And, despite its isolation it has one of the most cosmopolitan populations in the country and business opportunities abound. Total retirement kills many a man before his time. At the end of the day we don't all like golf. Despite my age, if you see someone with a similar mindset as my good self on a golf course they'll be more likely to be gathering phsycadelic fungae than looking for errant golf balls my friend.
