They’ve copied the graphics straight from Fox Sports in Australia.

I watched on the premier sports player and the picture wasn't great

Watching online via live.eirsport.com and it was awful. Constantly chopping from decent to ****e and back again and back again.

I know we've been over this a thousand times, but I wanna check.

I currently have Sky TV and Broadband. Up for renewal in October sometime. If I cancel my sky completely, and move over to Eir Broadband, can I still use my skybox to watch Eirsport?

Looks like Eir broadband only gives you access to the app. You'll need to pay the €27.50 p/m to access it through a Sky box.

I think having an Eir mobile plan only gives you access to the App. Having Eir home broadband should allow you to add it to your skybox based on this page.

Yes. That is the case. I have it on my sky box via eir broadband.

Ah I just noticed that the link I posted is an old one. Good to know that.

Commentary sound is terrible in the Connacht game.

Commentary sound is terrible in the Connacht game.

Yeah terrible stuff for first 10 minutes and not even a word of apology like they are even aware of it.
Some random bloke from some other commentary feed just started taking over the Eir commentators there now!

Think that was the Connacht coach in pitchside interview. Premier Sports have same commentary team as Eir Sports but different panel who are at Ravenhill for the Ulster game.

What feed are they using for the a Connacht game, there's practicality no crowd noise.

I wonder is it a tg4 feed? Marcus Horan did the pre match interviews with a tg4 mike.

It seems to be fine the second half, it was terrible the first.

The Eir Sport panel are in Thomond Park today, Tommy Bowe, Peter Stringer, Donnacha O’Callaghan.

Over on Premier Sports, not a fan of those opening titles. Graham Little presenting, I think?

Maz Reilly doing the interviews in Thomond. Did she get so much as a nod or intro?

5 live Pro14 games this weekend. Now Eir are replaying the Munster game for those who watched the Ulster match and BT have a two hour Premiership highlights show on now.

I should have changed to Eir long ago.

It's fantastic coverage, it's like Heineken cup every weekend given the wall to wall coverage, I love it!

My only worry now is going over the 1tb limit.

How are you finding eir vision for watching?
I see they have an offer of €50 p/m at the monent for broadband and tv. It does increase substantially after 12 months but you can cancel then as your contract is up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,414 ✭✭✭✭bilston

A lot of the games have gone down to the wire which will doubtless please Premier/Eir.

  • Moderators, Technology & Internet Moderators Posts: 12,871 Mod ✭✭✭✭icdg

Five of the seven games in one score territory and just one real blow out, the Munster v Cheetahs game. They really couldn’t have asked for a better opening weekend.

    Eir has a 1TB limit?

Eh, now I think I'll never switch to them.

I have evision and now complaints - 18 month contract paying €63.50 pm for tv broadband and phone - this was a retention deal

I have to say, I'm very happy with the amount of rugby I've been able to watch this weekend. In fact I was going to pirate it all year, but I think I'll pay for it.

I'd love to pay for it but this EirSport Virgin Media non-agreement has me forced to use other means.

Paying for Rugbypass and a.....flight.....to Hong Kong is cheap enough.
