What's so special about this ?

Isn't it just basically a clock radio ?
A big deal in the 1970s or 1980s maybe.

Also that is an independent seller using Amazon marketplace to sell their product.

    Amazon are not the seller.

I could go on an amazon marketplace and try sell it for 200 or 2000 but that doesn't mean it's worth that.
So quoting Amazon markrtplace is not a good way to judge a price

Tough crowd. If you've tried to buy a clock radio anytime since the 1980s you'll find that 95% of them sound somewhere between a wasp in a tin can and a pair of teenagers headphones sitting next to you on the train. And they don't come with automatic time setting, auto dimming, multiple one press alarm settings, weekday/weekend alarm settings, usb charging port etc.

Can't see this in stock in any Dublin stores, shame, for 30 quid it's much better than most bedside clocks, looking to move away from having the phone beside the bed all of the time.

If you had spent less timing putting down the bargain, and doing a quick Google search, you'd have seen that, according to pricespy, the cheapest it can be found in the UK is £50 in Curry's. PriceSpy
    Superfi - £80
    John Lewis - £80
    Argos - £80
    AO.com - £90.

So I used the marketplace as it was the cheapest I could find.

Well then this bargain obviously isn't for you. Thanks for posting though.

It was definitely available in Liffey Valley when I posted this morning. Didn't check anywhere else though, as I was only interested in Cork.

Yes that's exactly why I bought. Want to leave phone downstairs at night. Autotuned dab stations in north Dublin and sounds very good. I'd say it's much better than other alarm clocks and I like the unobtrusive nature of the display

Picked one up in Mahon point this evening , even though it was showing none available on line.

According to their system in the shop they had 2 left in stock.

    Thanks Soarer , good find

    Slightly off topic..
Anyone know of a boombox (or small stereo or clock radio) that can either play music off a USB stick or off a NAS on the local wifi?

    Thanks

Worth checking in store, just picked one up in Airside.
Still one unit still out on display.

I didn't think to ask if they had any more in stock.

Picked one up in Dundalk even though online said they weren't available.

    Delighted with it. Thanks OP.

Thanks OP. I picked one of these up in Liffey Valley yesterday.
Again it said none available on the website.
Sounds good for 2 Watt speakers:)
    Great value for €30.

So you took the last one before I got there. :D. They still had a display model there but I didn't ask if they would sell it. :o

Anyone buy one of these?? Recommend ?? Mixed review on Amazon. I still have one reserved.

i have a pure siesta (thank you, Tesco bargains thread!) - radio sound quality is fine for a small device in a bedroom. Alarm works, dual alarm with option to set different times and break for the weekends. (don't use DAB)

I'd imagine this is similar, looks a little bit bigger in the pictures - edit, actually it looks better full stop. and has triple alarm settings! buy buy buy!

no phones or tablets in the bedroom so it is a necessity or we'd never wake on time for work.

This is certainly not a necessity.

There are plenty of other alarm clocks available.

Some of them available for less than a fiver.

You won't get a clock with all this functionality for a fiver or anything close to it.

    This is a great bargain.
