I've got a 2005 Mercedes 200 CE and would like to build in a bluetooth adapter so that I can stream music via the soundsystem. Did a search on the forum but can't find the information that I need so putting up a new post.
The car does *not* have the adapter in the middle console.
I use d a GROM unit in my previous car (a Volvo) but the GROM unit for this car is about 3x times the price at 300 euro so I wonder if there is a cheaper alternative.
    Any advice welcome.

When you say adaptor in centre console, are you talking about a 3.5mm line in?

No, there is a specific connector for a (phone) bluetooth connector that is an optional extra.

Oh ok, it doesn’t have an aux in connection either?

Cheapest option is probably a BT headunit from the likes of Sony, can be got for as little as 80e in halfords, factor in a few more quid for a fitting kit i.e harness and facia adapter - if needed. Don't get halfords to fit it though :)

That would look a bit gammy though. Pretty sure the w203s are pre-wired for aux in anyway and you just need to get an adaptor on eBay or wherever to connect to a multi plug.
