What is the deal with these shops? They all seem to be pokey over priced kips. Thrown together at the latest minute at minimal cost by the look of it

I'm not a yank so I don't use the word "store", though more and more Irish people seem to. Store shops confuse me.

Could say the same about any other forecourt branded store. Petrol and diesel probably only make up a small part of their sales, alot of the rest is impulse/convience buys of all the other stuff.

You are so cool and respected on Boards. but that post just feels like a let down. Sorry.:D Its a very simple thread about crappy forecourt (you must know that one) offerings based on the brand at certain forecourts. ( a feckin petrol station)

I never even heard of them until this thread. Are they actually called Re Store? I've never seen a Circle K although I've seen ads for them.

My main interaction with this crowd is during long Motorway drives. I'll pay whatever for a coffee, wrap and a bottle of water. They have what I need :thumbs up:

    "Re store" is the name

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Re Store have the same layout and model as Centra, Londis, Spar and every other filling station or 24/7 shop - You come in for the fuel, and they make their money through you picking up extra items like chocolate.

It's basic retail psychology, I actually love Re Stores because they're always open and have great Bewleys Coffee as opposed to that Frank & Honest tripe.

Both Re Store and Frank and Honest coffee is too dear. All centras etc added 50c to the price when they took on F&H so now i avoid if possible.

What long journeys are there in Ireland? Cork to Dublin is only a few hours.

Do you need coffee wrap and water for that?

    Weird
