Longline fishing

    A friend of mine as being giving some old fishing gear and among it is a couple of longlines, a 78 hook one and a 20 hook. Is the use of these legal in Ireland? Will be used for personal fishing not financially.

    Only legal to be used by commercial fishermen with a commercial licence. Otherwise completely illegal.
