Surely the problem stems from just handing out cold currency. Currency that can be used to buy fags or drink or whatever. A credit system where the credits can be used in state run shops to buy necessities.

Yeah this would work but it’d probably be abused by a blackmarket for fags and alcohol etc.

Ding ding - we got a Godwin.

Okay then, what is the way to stop this situation repeating itself ? All some posters have done is say the suggestions made would not work.

    So what would ?

All I can think of is making damn sure the kids are educated by hook or by crook and doing our utmost to make sure they don't turn out like the rest of their kin.
I'll take my chances with that approach rather than yours, Hitler.

Yeah it seems crazy that a fg minister would come out with this Prsi hike just before an election coming in feb or around then. Is that not political suicide?
I know the hike is to fund state pensions but that money should come from welfare reform.

Off topic for this thread but, unless something similar to the Frances Fitzgerald saga happens in the near future, I doubt there will be a general election before 2020 at the earliest.

Yeah they'd probably not have as many. Some still would though, what do you do with those ones is what I'm unsure of.

Well we could cross that bridge when we come to it but As I said if the parents worked 39 hrs or contributed to community service for example then they could qualify for child benefit for 3rd child.

Sorry you can't just dismiss something because I pointed it out as being a Nazi policy. I'm unaware of any other regime that sterilised people forcefully so of course I'm going to compare it to that.

It was policy for lower income black women in some parts of the USA I believe. I will try to find a link.

There is a VAST VAST difference between pure eugenics to wipe out a race and family planning/limitation measures for people who refuse to show responsibility and expect everyone to pay for their chosen life.

I looked at her Facebook last week. Some girl with a foreign surname commented on why she had so many kids, or why she doesn't work, and Mags's friends went bananas at the girl for being foreign and coming over here taking all our jobs etc.
    The irony!

Hmmmm. I had read feb 2019 as a runner. Could be bs though.

Oh well that makes it ok then, that it wasn't only the Fuehrer sterilising people.

When you have a "mother" who says they're better off leaving school at 11 lest they end up on drugs, education is clearly not a viable option.

Sometimes the punitive measures have to be used and giving adequate notice NOW that should you have more than two children we will not fund them, I see no issue with that.

The mother is an idiot. This is why state intervention for those kids is needed.

Yep - I used to see that kind of anti social 'dirt' in the Pub I worked in as a student. The Assistant Manager in 1993, 3 children, a typical ordinary 25,000 mortgage (12% interest back then), got less after working a 60 hour+ week, paying tax and PRSI, while one customer, a dirtbird called Samanteh with 6 kids, got more than him off 'de social'.
It put me off socialism. The Election campaign was taking place, and Ruari Quinn said

"Ireland cannot afford a minimum wage".

I never voted Labour again. I had just gone 18, and I've told them since why.

They are'nt the party of the ordinary honest working class man, and there has'nt been anyone out for us in over three decades.

The comments from her friends really are something else.

"Never seen anything like them tbh wouldn't u think they give u some house our something" - Yeah you'd think they'd just give her something that others work their entire lives to be able to afford.

"In dromcondra!! Jesus you will have to travel miles for the schools. This is scandalous" - Scandalous that she'd have to do what countless others up and down the country do every day.

"The Council need to get their fingers out and Minister Murphy would want to take off his rose coloured glasses and look at the problem he gets paid enough money to do a job its his place to demand information from the local authorities about what is happening to these homes and maybe if he used his brain cells if he has any, threaten to stop funding until this issue is resolved" Demanding that someone else does their job - brilliant.

    All a bit depressing really.

Not a word in that I disagree with.

I have mentioned before that a local Sinn Fein member said I was "the 1%" because I paid the higher rate of tax.

Despite my agreement with them on many points and my being a Republican, I'm done with them.

There really is no party who stands up for the proper working person.

Completely and utterly depressing and soul crushing that. Scandalous ? Something about this is alright.

A personalised card with credits loaded on it. Not vouchers that you can give away.

You’d have to swap physical objects which would be a pain, and being caught doing so would reduce say the “luxuries” credits eg crisps, chocolate etc. It wouldn’t be that hard to police, if you’re caught smoking or drinking and you’re on this system then it will be reduced as you shouldn’t be able to afford it.

I don't really know what they're playing at because I haven't met one person who's been on the side of Ms Cash. Is it because they're travellers? Everyone's afraid of travellers.

Yeah for main stream media, but I didn’t even hear of one minor publication asking questions about this? It’s all a bit mad. People seemed to get sucked into the feel sorry for this woman on social media bubble.

Far from dumb and gullible they are. They know exactly what's going on.They watch all social media. They know the mood on the streets.Hell they are even reading this here on boards.
Always remember a newspaper has 64 blank pages every day that have to be filled.

At this time of year in the silly season it's slow news time. This story is like manna from heaven for these hacks/liars/immoral charlatans etc.

But this story sells papers and is golden clickbait for online media (don't ever click on links posted here to promote this bullsh*t).

If it was in their interests to promote the actual reality of this story they'd turn on her in a flash.Make no mistake.

They couldn't give a toss about her,it's all about the bottom line.

    Making money

Foreigners are always an easy target to the underclass.

I want her (the friend) and her ilk out of the country.

Yeah it's mad, I live near the Lidl beside Darndale and a few times there's been kids running around knocking things off shelves calling the security guard "n*gger" to his face and running off. Nothing the poor guy can do.

Give me a country full of 'foreigners' with a drive to work that social welfare leeches who will never contribute one cent to the country
