i don't believe they would. if they wanted to work they would work.

they are unlikely to actively persue looking for work, because they don't want to work full stop, and it's unlikely that anything will get them to do so.

Any suggestions what we should do people who do not want to work?
two years of social payments depending on your contributions after that , support cut to minimum.

Housing cheaper around the country should not be limited to the area they grew up in or wish to live. If you want to live somewhere there is not social housing then work for it

HOME HEARTACHE Devastated homeless mum-of-seven Margaret Cash is told to move out of apartment by Friday as it’s being leased from September 2

Heartbroken mum says council told her they could have the pad for a week on a trial basis and then month-to-month

She wrote on Facebook: “The landlord needs the apartment back because he has it let from the 2nd of September.

“The council got my hopes up they said it was long-term on a month-to-month basis.

“No such thing, what do I tell my kids? I really can’t cope with this, feel heartbroken.”

Speaking to the Irish Sun late last night, Margaret admitted she felt unable to tell the kids about the fresh blow.

She said: “How can I tell them? They’ve been getting settled, putting the posters up on their walls.

“I don’t know where they’ll be enrolled in school because who knows where we’ll be then? How are they supposed to make friends?

“The landlord was lovely, a really, really nice guy but he told me he’s agreed to let it to students from September 2nd.

“The council say they’ll have a flat on Friday but how can you trust them after what’s happened?

Its always the same. You've got my friends and I working, being honest, and then you see the usual.......turn up, demand because 'der entitledddd'.
    Why do we bother?

What a nice apartment that seemed to have been, big and bright with incredible views. I totally disagree with the welfare dependent lifestyle, and hope her beautiful children will grow up to be part of contributing society. They do need a bit of stability, and the key is education, education, education. I do hope Margaret's thick view on education (that is leads to crime and drugs!!) does not influence her childten’s Future.

Amazing that the apartment is being rented out all of a sudden. Wonder what the real story is here. Did they trash the place already?

When I was a landlord, and also when I was a tenant, in the Lease that I would sign, it ALWAYS stated that posters / fixings etc. were NOT to be put on the walls, as it could damage the paint etc.

I presume Ms. Cash will have painted the walls where the posters would have left marks.

Also, they're not THEIR walls, they're the Landlords walls.

Well you see - thats what happens when someone gets something that they're 'entitled' to, and something they have'nt 'earned' or 'worked' for. Her husband is in jail, and the whole entitlement mentality means - sadly - some of the kids are going to end up in jail too. Its a cycle, and it has'nt been broken.

Her children are screwed and none of them will end up working.

I've been in my rented house 11 years and have one framed item up on the wall.

I had to get permission beforehand, the agent came to check afterwards and I have it in writing to restore the spot to the original before I leave.

Standard stuff I would have thought.

There is no chance whatsoever IMHO that the reason it is being leased is their behaviour. I'd put wages on it.

And that is the fault of her, and enablers who defend her.

She had 7 children in 10 years, and planned for the taxpayer to house and raise them. I feel sorry for the kids, but this "loads of kids, no money, no job, and no plan" entitlement culture has to end.

I’d say the neighbors kicked up a fuss. Could you imagine living beside her and her lot?

When I heard that a woman crashed the gates of the dail, I immediately thought it was going to be a stunt to get a house.

In her mind she's entitled to receive 50k + a year for doing nothing!!!!

And every time someone defends her - the entitlement grows. It's like Clarence and his wings in It's A Wonderful Life.

Except instead of a bell, it's a 5.40am alarm call for the rest of us to go to work.

I'm pretty sure that she thought that popping out 7 kids in 10 years, apparently starting when she was 17, would see her set for life. Free house, plenty of money, etc. No need to work.

It hasn't panned out the way she expected, and now she is throwing a wobbler in the media.

Of course, she's not done yet. She's only 28. Odds are she'll keep on having more kids for the taxpayer to support.

    Why do we bother?

I feel for people or couples who work 80 hours (maybe more) between them and everyday is a battle to pay bills and some have no house of their own.

We need look after people who work first.

If I knew my tax was going towards people who contribute to society I be happy and I think most people here would too.

I really don't understand why not one media outlet is questioning her bull, not one.

What happened to investigative journalism ?? Truth ???

You'd normally have a pay a PR firm for the positive spin she's receiving.

Any suggestions what we should do people who do not want to work?

There in lies the problem, too many do gooders and not enough effort from the Dept. to identify them, the welfare employees would have too work hard
to go thur each individual or familiy on a far too regular basis to be sure of whose who etc etc

But reduce benifits is the only way. No way should those on benifits be able to keep cars on road go on foreign holidays if on benifits, have Iphones or Sky, or for that matter smoke or drink, If you can afford those luxuries on benefits, you're 1, either working and claiming, 2, receiving too much in benifits

Im betting because of her "culture", none of them want to have rabid twitteratti coming after them with screams of racism

She had 7 children in 10 years, and planned for the taxpayer to house and raise them. I feel sorry for the kids, but this "loads of kids, no money, no job, and no plan" entitlement culture has to end.

Baby number 8 appears to be on the way, so that's 8 kids in 11 years roughly.
If all 8 had another 8 themselves that's 64 children, then the cost to the state, housing, welfare, medical card etc etc.

    Where will this all end?

It won't be the banks bankrupting this country next, it will be the government and the 'entitled' welfare recipients.

It still baffles me how the E.U & IMF allowed this to largely continue when they came here in 2010.

Face it lads, we are already fcuked and headed for another recession, be it 10/15/20 years and this welfare culture is playing a huge role in it, 1.3 million people receiving 2 million payments weekly and expect it to rise.

The attitude of the government is all wrong when it comes to seeing to increase PRSI.

They are attacking the honest joe out to make a living and handing it to Ms Cash & co.

The only ones I wouldn't target on welfare are carers, disabled and pensioners.

Even in there you have certain limitations on who is genuine.

My own fcuking sister getting a carers allowance payment is wrong, very wrong, for a child with dyslexia, jesus fcuking Christ i'm autistic myself and I was declared medically fit to work full time.

    I need a fag

I loved her rant with Miriam about how she was born and reared here.

I know many many people down in my town - taxi drivers, barmen, the dude who cuts my grass etc etc, none born or reared her but do more work in a day than she has ever done in her life.

I'd say the "special" status that Enda dumped on us has a lot to answer for.

She had 7 by 27, that was the age she was giving birth to her youngest.

14 by 37 is very possible and very likely, culture and that.

Meanwhile, you have educated professional couples agonizing over whether they can afford a second or third child.

But for Ms Cash, each additional child is another source of income.

This is like the Freeman protesters helping the lad in Gorse Hill, there is an issue to be solved here, but the people deserving of help are getting ignored. Media coverage has gotten even more lazy in the days of clickbaiting.

Same here. Autism (well, Aspergers) and also severe social anxiety and ODD to boot.
But you know what, I'm working since I was 14.
And the likes of me pay for these people parasitic leeches to sit at home all day and procreate. Procreating other children parasitic leeches that we also have to pay for.

I look after students with issues and yeah, dyslexia might mean they need a bit of help with lectures and exams etc but when did it become a condition classed a disability ????

My nephew is now 8, there is an SNA allocated to the class in general and he gets 3 hours a week.

An OT gave the diagnosis on paper aged 4 when he started school and she was refused her initial application, she appealed and got it, anyone who knows the welfare system will know that roughly 1 in every 2 appeals are allowed so there is a high likelihood of getting it.

The term disability was never used, but the fact she secured the payment means she says 'oh they must think he has a disability if I got my carers & DCA'

We aren't close by no means, she is older than me and I had my own problems, but the fcuking clown used my own history in support of her application.

I love my nephew dearly but jesus don't stereotype the child just for financial gain I said.

The parents endlessly referee arguments with us

I hear ya buddy, if we really wanted to play the system like those people we could, but why sit around feeling sorry for ourselves when we can get out there and make our lives better.

Believe it or not you would be eligible for disability allowance but I salute you for working, i'm sincere in that.

I've never been caught with my pants down, seems like we are bigger fools for it, just ask Ms Cash.

The Mirror today, big headline about the big nasty banks and "vulture funds" turfing out a poor dementia ridden woman from her house.

    Awful right ?

Interesting to read the ACTUAL story which emerges slowly from the fluff.

    https://www.irishmirror.ie/news/irish-news/sick-grandmother-reveals-week-hell-13112259

"spent ten years battling lenders" - no they haven't.

I have sympathy for people struggling to pay a mortgage. They do everything to try and make payments.

People who make no attempt and go crying to the papers I have less sympathy for.
