Eat healthy - Fruit and maybe some vegetable soup. Stay away from crap food after a night out.

If you feel up to it, sweet out the hangover with a run or some exercise bike work

If you've a poker that far up your hole you wouldn't have the hangover in the first place.

No trips to the chipper on the way home from the pub in fact no food at all before you go to bed is a good way to shorten a hangover.

A big dirty greasy fry with butter slapped on batch bread. Absolute freezing can of diet coke. I don't like normal coke but I'm sure that can work. Loads of endless crap on TV and feeling awful sorry for myself until the Chinese open and I get a spicebag to finish off the awful sorry day I've had for myself. Then day 2, my stomach then hates me but....worth it

Went for a 5 mile walk and picked up a big dirty caramel Frappuccino in Starbucks. The sugar kick has sorted me right out

I always find that if I've sobered up before going to bed that the hangovers are not as bad.

Dioralyte, energy drinks, something salty and fatty, two painkillers, as much sleep as you can manage and ice lols (preferably orange calippos).

The worst ones are when you wake up still pissed and you think everything will be fine

Water & Time I find are the only cures for me

If I drink Thursday, Friday and Saturday then.
The worst part of a hangover for me is not sleeping Sunday night. I just toss and turn all night the I'm tired in work on Monday.

I find valerian root extract is pretty good before bed. I would love if kava kava was safe/legal in Ireland I'd say it's the ultimate hangover cure.

Over easy eggs, lots of water, a suggary drink.
A short walk early in the day ( if you can)
No caffeine. A movie/tv. Takeaway is nice but the calories are bad if you drink often.

Finally: a belief that you are going to be ok. All is not lost, yes you probably did make a complete tit or yourself but Jesus still loves you and so will dogs :)

and something to help sweat out the toxins - i know that one does not feel they have the energy for this but I find that if i do something seriously aerobic after a night out that i feel better after it..

Hot chicken role, cold can of coke and a day in front of the telly. I used to rely on a bottle of Lucozade Orange or two but that's just shíte now.

Not sleeping is a symptom of alcohol withdrawl which is dangerous terrotory. Your body is fighting you're brain all weekend when the booze wears off Sunday night your brain is still fired up which is why you can't sleep. It's not a good sign bud.

Also, the over-easy part of the egg process was worrying.

I am actually but when you get into withdrawl territory it's time to re evaluate things.;)

Bottle of cold 7up... use half with sth fizzygood and drink the rest.

    Sip miwadi or lucozade sport.

Then cheese on toast or salted crackers when you think you can eat something.

The stopwatch and notebook would be out timing your intake in preparation for a hearty lecture.
