That sounds interesting! How are they cooked? What is it served with? Is there an official name?

Just had a bowl of tomato soup that the toddler "helped make" (ie stirred and splashed around the room while I was trying to add herbs etc) followed by still warm banana, peanut butter and oat cookies. Cup of tea.

you put salted water, a chopped onion and thick pieces of bacon into a pot and cook it for 20 minutes. Than add a lot of green beans and a few chopped potatoes and cook it further. at last add a few whole pears to it so they're hot too. season with salt and peper.

it's a very old northern german dish which the poor people like farmers ate. Nobody makes it anymore except probably a few old folks in the countryside... and me..:o:pac:. I love it.

I had very little today apart from water and a Snickers for a treat. Flat out with work. I reckon it will be a takeaway tonight.

I had a simple dinner of 3 fried eggs with spuds but I did a pasta dish for Mrs S, with roasted pine nuts, sun dried tomato and marrow.

The big question is : Would Srameen send you CAKE if you send him EGGS ? :D

Hummus & corn cakes. Might have an avocado, not hungry tonight.

I've all the eggs I need right here. A neighbour has many hens and often drops in a basket of eggs. I give him potatoes and fruit & veg from the garden and Mrs S regularly sends a bag of scones up to his wife.

I never liked avocado but Mrs S likes them.

Plus eggs are cheap as chips and Mrs S's cake is priceless.

    I love oranges, they're a messy joy.
Hard to find the right ones though, don't like hard to peel, bitter ones with the pips.

I'm sure M&S do nice ones, but pricey.

One last McGargles IPA for the road.

Have a veg and tomato stew heating up.
Couscous with it because I'm lazy.

Bag of chips with loads of salt.
    Coleslaw.
