Socially they wouldn’t change anything. They might win a few seats. But on the outrageous welfare front and economics, they could hold some say! Somebody needs to shout stop! What do you think of in last years budget and likely in this years budget, a 1.50 a week tax cut, for a worker on 30k , while welfare was increased across the board by e5 and politicians branded anything less than e5 insulting ? Give me your opinion on that ....

Yeah my opinion about what the government done is bull****. It’s pure bull****. But Renua would try to align the country with the church. I have no doubt about that.

Yes I agree. Examples include, capping children allowance at 2 if you are in receipt of a house provided by taxpayers.
Job seekers allowance (or whatever it’s called) reduces after a set time of person does not get a job.
Penalties on all handouts for the parents if children do not partake in full time education.

And jobseekers allowance = a % of what you have paid into the system over the years. Obviously with a MIN and MAX.

Of course you'll find them. There are plenty of people who are anti-Travellers on boards, especially on AH.

The point though is that there are far more objections on this thread against her behavior irrespective of her being a traveller. Her being a traveller doesn't matter because the objections would apply to any person in the same situation.

You're trying to make this an issue about Travellers because you can't really argue against those other real objections. (At least I haven;t seen you manage to yet)

I love seeing how out of touch some posters are with the people of Ireland. A week on and people are still crying about one woman, meanwhile out in the real world, the grown-ups are trying to solve the housing and health crisis and highlighting the governments continued failure to deal with these issues.

By all means rant away at your local TD. Unless you're earning big money and paying big money to lobby them, you'll be laughed at.

It's difficult to keep up with the professional moaners as to what qualifies someone to be a parasite or scumbag. Can we at least clear up that the people mentioned in the article below should not be asked to pay tax in the upcoming budget, or any future bidgets?

    https://www.irishtimes.com/business/economy/more-than-1-million-workers-will-not-pay-income-tax-this-year-1.3544848

More than 1 million workers will not pay income tax this year
Some 29% of income earners will not pay USC or income tax this year

The number of tax-exempt earners is up 35,500 “units”, or about 4%, on last year, which means that more than one in three Irish residents (37%) who earn an income will be exempt from paying income tax on it

Actually there is. Off the top of my head - Getting the piebald horse up the stairs to her new apartment, what the housewarming would be like - straight off the traveller stereotype handbook. I have found over thirty direct posts that are abusive in nature and directed towards the traveller culture.[/quote]

What are the positives aspects of traveller culture. What is to be respected/admired?

So you're giddy because there are 1 million workers so lowly paid for a working week you think it makes your point ?

At least they are trying, unlike that useless waste of space Cash.

    NO!

Everyone should pay some tax, even welfare recipients.

I think its going to come to a head, you cant have continually declining living standards for a sizeable proportion of the population paying for this farce. It was a different game during the boom, everyone was coining it in. Nobody gave a f*ck. Things are very different this time round!

I'd be concerned if the Gardaí came to my employer to trace an IP address that spent the entire working day every day posting vitriol on social media while I was supposed to be working. 3000 posts in the three months since you got that username, now there's productivity.

You've been reported several times for your personal attacks and off topic rants at me. I hope something finally gets done.

Explain that post - because quite frankly it is a borderline threat to me.

ok, this is a joke, it is a joke BUT, when you have the welfare system we do, it makes everything totally and utterly dysfunctional...

This country doesnt do drastic, best case scenario is no more welfare hikes. A total overhaul of the welfare state, the tax collection, which is a total and utter joke, is beyond comprehension here. Its the effects of decades of vote buying by moron politicians...

I'm curious, who are these "grown-ups" that you're referring to?

And TBH, I'm quite happy that people are still complaining about Cash, and I genuinely hope they continue to complain a month from now, or a year from now. As opposed to your spreading the responsibility gig, which dilutes the criticism and removes any momentum towards change.

God knows, leaving everything in the hands of the government, or "authorities" hasn't worked out very well.
It's difficult to keep up with the professional moaners as to what qualifies someone to be a parasite or scumbag.

TBH It's hard to keep track of what any of the extremists of any situation are qualifying.
More than 1 million workers will not pay income tax this year

And that invalidates the criticism towards Cash, how?

This is a slap in the face to all the hard working responsible tax payers in this country.

We are losing valueable hardworking tax paying individuals (who are sponsoring Ms Cash's irresponsible dysfunctional lifestyle) from our workforce who simply cannot afford to live and work in our citities.

Last month alone in the company I work for, two long standing of 14 years plus in Ireland, left to go home to their country as they simply could not afford the high rent and cramped inferior living conditions.

    So frustrating to hear.

Melebdez trying to hoodwink people in thinking the issue is a traveler issue.

When now faced with the truth it is not but about a waster and scrounger regardless of their sex, color, ethnicity , religious, sexual orientation, the new deflection excuse is to attack a persons post count.

Give up Melendez, the only person you are showing up is yourself.
Whether you have 1 post or 10,000 everyone is entitled to their opinion as are you, but when you spew lies in order to deflect from the crux of the issue, you are only highlight others point about bleeding hearts
