If she was a settled person she probably get even less sympathy. Her 'race' has nothing to do with this

Are travellers a race? I thought they confirmed they were Irish that separated from the rest?

Erica was the poster child for sinn fein.

Today we have Mary Lou calling for the government to be disbanded all because of last nights stunt.

Remembered who Sinn Fein represent next election.

I've voted Sinn Fein for decades.

No more. When they tell you that you should be squeezed more than you actually are to pay for those who refuse to work - they can f**king whistle.

didn't know you had access to her earnings, but how do you think she would manage to spend 87k and still end up homeless? it's not possible, think about what you're saying. i couldn't spend 30k in a year if i tried my hardest.

What sort of argument is this?

Yesterday and today there was nothing but sympathy for this one across all the MSM and from every part of the political spectrum. I'd expect as much from Coppinger and Murphy but was surprised to hear Harris and other FG TDs sing from the same hymn sheet.

No Harris said I believe she was offered accommodation but turned it down.

Haven’t heard anyone else say that.

so many posts on FB from people I thought had more sense about this woman, the poor thing, shame on the government, it's misogyny yada yada yada....

I've called some people out on it, raised questions about her own responsibility and her refusal of a property and been called racist, anti women, Nazi etc.

Are people that desperate to be right on that they believe there should be no accountability?

i agree on this, some of the self-righteousness has been ridiculous and it's not going to win any arguments.

The agenda from the media on this story has been disgusting. Independents front page today, crocodile tears everywhere on newstalk and matt Cooper etc. I have no doubt they will barely, if even, discuss the real facts now that they have fully emerged. And of course Sinn Féin try to make political gain straight away like the populist lovers that they always are.

the point is that as a working single person one would have to earn 87k to bring home the same amount as this woman gets from combined benefits

Nope. They shouldn't be with her if she won't look after them properly

I'd say Harris et al are singing along is because you are not allowed to criticise or find fault with SJW pet projects nowadays.

    Let's go slowly for you.

She does not work. Has never worked and very likely never will. She receives in her bank account in excess of 50k per year. Free and clear, no tax, no deductions and no work required to get this sum.

Contrast that with most of us here who get up early, in many cases commute some distance and work 40-50-60+ hours a week. We don't get anywhere near that amount for our efforts and yet pay tax, PRSI, USC etc etc.

Do you get it now ?

I didn't hear him say that although he did say on RTE from Arklow:'I don't think there was anyone in the country who wasn't upset by those scenes'.

    Anyway, I digress.

    No John she wouldn't.

If I type what I really want to say about him, I will get banned. Where is John Connors when his friends and family are terrorising the very people who pay tax which funds their "culture"??

first off, it's conjecture saying what she gets paid into her bank account. if you've dealt with welfare you'll know that they can deduct from entitlements where they see fit.

secondly, she's a single mother with 7 kids. do you have 7 kids that your wage is split between?

i just think it's pointless and a bit odd calculating her benefits and making comparisons. the situations are different. thanks though for taking the time to explain, genuinely.

i would question why she turned down accomodation though. I'm not completely blinkered about it, i think some people are just refusing to even acknowledge there might be a grey area here.

And don't forget how much she costs us taxpayers being prosecuted for stealing what she wants. And don't forget that, while she's claiming every penny she can out of our pockets, her traveller friends and family are terrorising actual taxpayers.

I have to disagree with you John, I’m a settled woman and I received an awful lot of abuse online for speaking out! The fact that she is a traveller woman is not the issue(in my opinion), the issue is that she is a WOMAN who spoke out against the Government & their cronies!.

    The last sentence is laughable

Children under the age of 5 whose parents are homeless (and those transitioning from homelessness to permanent accommodation) can get free childcare for 25 hours a week. This includes 15 hours of free pre-school (ECCE) where children are eligible, or school hours. It also includes a daily meal. Parents should not be asked to pay any top–up or co-payment for these part-time hours.

Free public transport is also available for families living in emergency accommodation to cover their school journeys and family travel.

probably because all her supporters are all welfare leechers all doing the same thing.

Been widely shared. You just keep ignoring it as it doesn't suit the agenda of making her a victim.

And yet - a link there was.

The "victim" narrative is wearing a tad thin now.
