Where to buy a kindle?

    I want to buy a kindle as a present, however I'm not very techy and neither is the person I'm buying for. I do know that he wants something fairly basic with no backlight. I had a look on Argos and see one there that would probably do the job! However would I be better off going somewhere more specialised for the actual purchase? Or does it not make any difference where I buy it from? Sorry if it's a silly question!

    You can buy it where ever suits you. They are all the same product. Did you look on amazon?

    Thanks for the quickly replies! It was the basic model that I was thinking of in that link, mainly because there is no built in light (the person I'm buying for has sensitive eyes :P).

    I did look at the product comparison on amazon, but I'm reluctant to order online in case there are issues with delivery. I'd rather walk into a shop and buy it on the spot. Do you reckon Argos would be ok then or do you have any better protection etc buying somewhere more specialised?

    Also I wouldn't mind somewhere else with a decent return/exchange policy. We're going away for 3 weeks a couple of days I'll be giving him the gift, so it would be very tight if he decided to exchange it for a different model if there is only a 28 day window.

    I frequently buy from Amazon and find them the best to deal with if something goes wrong.

    Historically Argos are known for being very good to deal with too so I'd have no qualms getting it there if you'd rather not buy online.
