This woman's Facebook page is a revelation. Money for beer, vodka, crystal ornaments, and a Communion dress fit for My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. Her sense of entitlement is shocking. This whole stunt has been choreographed beautifully. And the bleeding hearts are lapping it up. Well played Margaret Elizabeth Cash. Well played.

It's rumoured that Sinn Fein are considering nominating her to run for President.

She ticks almost all of their boxes for the dream candidate! Although it has yet to be established whether she's sound on the National Question.

This thread might break records for reports!! We'll be all homeless with nowhere to post. Unless there's a Garda station forum.

    Reported!!

I don't have to do anything. Obviously it was a very difficult choice and one that was not suitable for the family for whatever reason, we don't know all the details but we should take the mother on her word. She has the best interests of her kids in mind and she chose the garda station.

She clearly doesn't, the best interests of her kids would have been sleeping in beds in a house. Not seats in the public office of a Garda station

We are all in a desperate situation and deserve all the support we need. I sleep soundly knowing I'm doing all I can.

The last time that you reported someone else, you were suspended from the thread for 24 hours. :D A bit slow on the uptake, one assumes!
Yesterday that particular poster was pointing to a facebook post (by someone with an agenda) as evidence that the landlord of the occupied property in Summerhill was a gangster.

Today there is a refusal to accept the very explicit proof of this spoofing scammer's lifestyle via her entire facebook account.

Something is seriously up with the poster behind that account.

Why do these really public cases always end up being complete chancers?

Why can't they find someone who's genuinely down on their luck, who hasn't refused houses already, who's landlord chucked them out with five minutes notice, and who have no nowhere else to go?

Like the Apollo House farce, once you start scratching at the surface of the sad cases they put forward, it's clear that they could have helped themselves multiple times before it got to this stage, but chose not to.

It's really not a nice situation to be in. Neither choice is appetising. Families stuck in these awful situations need support. The growing number of them is really concerning.
She was given support. And she refused the support, as it was too far away.

Also, what happened to the house that she got in July, in Tallaght?

Do you still believe that circumstances were beyond her and her partners control?

They are now. As I said, she can’t go undoing anything that’s already done, so it’s a bit redundant to be talking about what she should have done or what she has or hasn’t done. Well, of course it’s very easy talk about it from our perspective, but it doesn’t change anything from their perspective. They’re still in the shìt like, and this woman is doing what she believes is the best way for her to get herself and her children out of it. It might not be the way you or I would have done it, but we’re not in her situation and we haven’t lived her life.

Only thing worse than a parasite is a parasite that lives off parasites

You'd have a genuine "homeless service", then "i can't believe it's not the homeless service" and " utterly homeless service"

all duplicating admin and effort all over the place, with the usual stunt of employ a few good ones, and the rest are rejects you'd hardly let mind a rock - but it suits because it makes the place look "busy and needy"

I'd reckon this one and other parasites were put up to it by the latter

Having being bettered all over this thread and unable to provide any proof for their claims, they now have to resort to personal abuse. Their lives are filled with hatred, they are deeply unhappy in themselves, their only joy is wallowing in the misery of others. I have sympathy for these people but at the end of the day they should be pitied and ignored. I must be off to actually help people this evening. It makes me happy and fulfilled. I can only hope some others will see that helping those in need is the way to go. Abusing them is useless, especially for their own happiness. Ciao.

Tell that to the homeless people who were featured living In Apollo house 15 months ago, who actually had their own council homes but yet turned up at Apollo house Claiming homeless ( the biggest homeless scam ever)

Also are you claiming 90+000 are homeless

Oh dear, and just when folks were hoping that the Apollo House event had run it's course.....

Seems to be a while since the subject of the money has been raised....Some of It might have alleviated this latest family's situation a wee bit, whilst fittin-in with the aims of Apollo House ?

What has happened with the money?

As already mentioned, as of 6 February – when Home Sweet Home released its accounts – the campaign had just under €129,000 left over after all of the expenses from the Apollo House occupation had been deducted.

Since then, Rosi Leonard said the campaign has not spent any of the money raised.

“That’s all the money that’s been spent,” said Leonard.

We haven’t been spending any money since then. So there hasn’t been any expenses.

Leonard said that everyone involved in the campaign was a volunteer, and there were no expenses on that end. She said volunteers were now working on a number of “legacy projects” on which the remaining money would be spent.

“All of us are working on a legacy plan for that money,” she said.

She said that the campaign wasn’t “ready to announce” the projects yet.

But we’re working out legacy projects and ways to make sure the money goes towards the aims of Apollo House initially.

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.

Keep repeating that mantra if it helps you to sleep better tonight.

The kids will be in a real bed tonight now that the authorities are aware of her situation. She could have had the same last night if she didn't want to be a poster child.

Why would anyone make a laugh of this? The government have failed those kids. In Irish society no person should not have a front door of their own. I dont believe this to be a pr stunt.

    Read her Facebook page.

Is her facebook page still up?. I can't seem to find it.

So far all I can gather is that she's 28, has been on the housing list since she was 19 and has managed to give birth to six children in that time.

Apart from her FB page am I missing anything?.

    ***Edit, found it.

She showed up at a Garda station with her children because she knew the media would eat that up. Now, she has been proven to be a scammer by her own friends and neighbours posting on her own Facebook page. /thread.

Seems harsh, picking apart the life of someone who very clearly hasn't had it easy. Whether it's the result of her own actions or not is irrelevant - none of us are above making mistakes. When I see stuff like this, I can't help but feel thankful for the kind of upbringing I had.

If you're going go public about how bad you have it and how the state has let you down, I'm afraid the veracity of that story is going to be checked...eventually, apparently.

It doesn't take an education to know that liars always get caught out.
