Ed Woodward is an embarrassing idiot

Jose when he meets up with Woodward expecting Alderweireld and told he gets some under 18 potential Centre back.

2 years older than Toby, significantly cheaper, one of the top CB's in the world..
wouldn't be a bad signing at all

I will let one of the other glazerites defend Woodward. I don’t Trust his priorities so I’m not defending him....

I would be more inclined to believe that the club is trying to be too clever with haggling and might get caught out...

Not a phrase I would use when it comes to Ed Woodward.

Should get Messi too while hes at it.

I'm not laughing at Godins ability, why on earth would Atletico sell him ?

Sit back and relax. It be fine.

If we don't get what we want we still have a good enough team to have a good season. Well imo anyway

Sky really should be pulled up over the conflict between running a sports news channel and also a betting company which accepts bets on potential transfers. Has to be a racket and surely there are some moral if not legal issues there.

I have their site blocked, the BBC site is all you need. I never believe anything unless its on their site, and I never believed anything before that unless it was on CEEFAX.

They don't own sky bet I think.

Why on earth would he want to leave Atletico for us?

I know there is another guy on here that does this sort of thing..."we aren't signing Godin".

Could never understand how this is allowed. Someone on here said the other day that Sky do not own Skybet, but they do actually have a 20% ownership stake in it

Sky Bet is majority-owned by CVC Capital Partners, the private equity firm which used to control Formula One motor racing. CVC holds 71% of Sky Bet's shares, while Sky plc, the owner of Sky News, has a 20% stake

Haha even the fcuking link is from Sky, the cretins

Worse than betting, its not News its rumours...................the majority of the transfer "news" is horse $hit rumours.

I agree with this and think the board feels the same.

But the fans and clearly Jose don’t want “good enough”, they want top honors success. The irony is that some fans will turn on the manager if a “good enough” season isn’t what they wanted when the manager is closer to wanting the fans targets on field then the club.

What has happened since last season to make you think this? The addition of Fred and hopefully Sanchez turning up will hopefully give us something but we have the same ponderous back 4, 2 33 year old full backs who are wingers and a bunch of centre halves who are either "potential", injured or just not up to it.

Think im after moving past the s*it show that was this transfer window and cant wait for tomorrow now.

Was glad to see Jose a little back to his old self this morning. A good start is essential you have to feel. Hopefully he makes amends with Pogba & Martial (if its not all BS)and they kick on big time this year, can be huge for us if they and Jose get it right.
Glad to see he is considering starting the world cup players tomorrow too, midfield of Fred, Pogba and Andreas with Sanchez, Rashford and Lukaku looks tasty on paper, hopefully Shaw puts in a good showing and Bailly nails down a place.
Anyway feck the window and GGMU.

I said this about Sky Sports News yesterday
How they are not getting pulled up over it is beyond me

They own 20% of the betting company and the name of the betting company is Sky Bet. And you can take bets on transfers.
Should be no ambiguity at what they are at.

On too footie, Hurray for Kew & Yermandan. I'm with you too brothers!
    Roll on Friday night :)

I agree. I think this could be a great season to be honest. .

Jose wants to win the league, I have no doubt about that. He is frustrated that the club has failed, thus far, to get the players/targets he felt would take the team to a higher level. He has publicly put the club under pressure to get players in but when things have settled down and the window closes he will get on with it.

I just don't see how that's possible with the volume of average players, Smalling, Jones, Rojo, Lindelof (average is generous for him) and Young.

I really don't understand this lat3 approach for Godin. Why the hell was a defender of his caliber not approached before now if we were interested in him.

Utd are looking very amateurish in their transfer dealings in this window. Everyone and their dog knows Mourinho has his faults but it's been very clear that he gave his list of desired centre backs to Woodward ages ago. We are in position to pay top money and top wages and it's not like Manchester United are an unattractive club to any prospective signing. The fact that we have not managed to sign a decent central defender by now seriously smacks of incompetence to me.

If the window closes without us signing a centre back it will be unacceptable.

There is utterly no proof we are in for him. The media are reporting we are in for plethora of centre backs. Have they forgotten we have four centre backs at the club.
