No, its an agenda being peddled by the leftist mainstream media. Most of the idiots they send out to bat are hypocrites who will be seen for that eventually

What % of feminists are man-hating harridans?

I’m a feminist. My wife is a feminist. All of my female friends are feminist. The vast majority of my male friends are feminist. My mother is a feminist. My sister is a feminist. My Da is a feminist.

None of them hate men. Some of them may be harridans.

I'm not a feminist, just like i'm not a masculinist. I don't believe in advocating so-called rights for one group at the expense of another. You and your family are perfectly decent i'm sure but mainstream feminism is ugly and divisive, particularly towards white males like me.

No. What I’m trying to say is that mainstream feminists are people like myself, my family and my friends. There are fringe feminists who aren’t.

Just like there are religious zealots, radical left and right people. Stop generalising based on a fringe element.

Would you call yourself a masculinist too? Feminism is by it's nature and definition in opposition to men. You need to stop calling yourself one.

Again no. That is not what feminism is. It’s aboit equality, always has been. You can’t make up your own definition of a word for a debate point.

    This is what feminism means:

Feminism is a range of political movements, ideologies, and social movements that share a common goal: to define, establish, and achieve political, economic, personal, and social equality of sexes.[1][2] This includes seeking to establish educational and professional opportunities for women that are equal to those for men.

Feminist movements have campaigned and continue to campaign for women's rights, including the right to vote, to hold public office, to work, to earn fair wages or equal pay, to own property, to receive education, to enter contracts, to have equal rights within marriage, and to have maternity leave. Feminists have also worked to ensure access to legal abortions and social integration, and to protect women and girls from rape, sexual harassment, and domestic violence.[3] Changes in dress and acceptable physical activity have often been part of feminist movements.

I have news for you. That is being a feminist.

That’s my point. The meaning of the word has been twisted beyond all recognition by both fringes.

All it means is the fight for and belief in equal opportunities for women. End of definition.

    feminism
    ˈfɛmɪnɪz(ə)
    noun

the advocacy of women's rights on the ground of the equality of the sexes.

Nothing more. Nothing less. Don’t understand all the anger.

According to this study, 86% of men in the U.K. want equality but only 4% identify as feminists. Women, curiously, are less likely to want equality with only 76% advocating for equality, but 9% claiming to be feminists:

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/life/only-7-per-cent-of-britons-consider-themselves-feminists/

Less extreme difference in the USA, but still 85% equality 19% feminist:

Maybe feminism just has an image problem that people haven't heard or don't believe that it's really all about equality.

    You're right actually.

However I would not associate with any side it would cause so many to read into it different.

From what I have seen and read from Blind boy though is that Men should be Feminist(which is fine) but it comes with the Guilt trip. That's my take from Blindboy.

Equality of opportunity or Equality of outcome?

Equality is a lovely term, if I were a communist I'd be using this word as often as I can.

How come you are allowed to file words as "nonsence definitions" you don't like in the "really doesn't matter bin"

And then deny people the right to put your nonsense definitions in their bin?

Pompous, is the word I connect with that attitude.

Hah? That’s literally the dictionary definition of the word feminism. It’s not my definition, it’s THE definition.

I would agree feminism has a huge image problem. Whether people believe it’s about equality is really irrelevant, that is what it is about. In order to deny this you need to invent a whole new definition for a word, that doesn’t seem the most sane thing to do IMO.

Either would I. Hence my bamboozlement at the anti feminist anger.

I don’t think that’s correct. Why do you think it comes with a guilt trip? Do you believe Blin boy is telling men they should feel guilty for simply being men? I don’t think that’s correct.

    Equality of opportunity

You are aware that women have a head start when it comes to opportunities in life. The education system across the west benefits females affording them better opportunities and career options.

Don't get me wrong, I believe men are well capable of toxic behaviour, but women are just as capable, I can't see how this wave of feminism is not yet considered toxic? Is feminism capable of toxic group think?

I get a little annoyed over the use of the term "equality", when it seems to be just "equality" for a particular class or demographic of women? It seems to be driven by the educated class of women who don't give a monkeys about women outside of that class/demographic.
