Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

4.5M and 4.0M Players

    Hi All,

    I made a short post in the general thread about 4.5M and 4.0M players. I did up an excel sheet with all players 4.5M and 4.0M.

    I've filtered the following Excel sheet by ''Blanks/Red/Orange/Yellow Flags'' Blanks mean I'm unsure if they'll start so if you can advise if you support that team or have knowledge of new signing etc.

    Ideally the full list will show ''Will They Start? Y= Yes N=No M=Maybe

    Apologies for the copy past above. I just did it up in work and have no way of transfering it to table form for boards.

    All help welcome. Once we resolve this. I'll post up everything properly on the website and link it to this thread and going forward any further 4.5 or 4.0 developments we can stick to this thread if that's ok with the mods?

    Just as a side note I haven't done much re-search on these teams just because I'm in work. I'm sure a lot are fairly obviously just wanted to be safe:)

    Was going to keep this to myself but thats not really inn keeping with the spirit of boards.ie fpl but....


    .... kyle walker Peters (KWP), 4.5M has started 3 out of 3 Spurs friendlies in the US and might be worth a punt for those thinking of an early WC as both Trippier and Rose will be back for spurs in a couple of weeks.

    KWP started 2 games at LB and 1 at RB from what I can tell.

    Bavies has started all 3 at CB but that will surely change and he will move to the LB position ... KWPs best chances of game time is at RB were Serge Aurier is competition but Aurier has not had a good spell in his first season and always looks like he's one kick away from a mistake (incl one mistake vs Roma and 1 vs Barcelona in pre season).

    KWP only started one game last season - the opener vs newcastle in gw1 where he got a CS, and assist and was voted sky sports man of the match.... and guess who spurs play in gw1 this season - newcastle again. Will history repeat itself?

    Any input if any of the 4.5m Everton defenders will start?

    Looks like the only likely possibility is one of Williams or Jagielka to partner Keane at CB (or does Silva go for 3 at the back?)

    I'd fancy Williams might get the nod as he is more of a ball-playing CB. Everton have some tasty opening fixtures, and it's very difficult to find cheap defenders with nice "even" firxtures (i.e. GW 2,4,6 etc...).

    Williams might be a good rotator with other 4.5 defs, but not at all sure if he's nailed

    Williams might be a good rotator with other 4.5 defs, but not at all sure if he's nailed

    As an Everton fan I personally can't call it. Silva plays 4 at the back but not sure if it will be Williams or Jags in the partnership with Keane.

    Coleman Keane ?? Digne.

    I personally think it will be Jags but that's just guesswork and the fact he's there so long

    Would expect Ciaran Clarke to start now Lejeune is out for a good while. Newcastles opening fixtures are horrific so would avoid for a while anyway.

    Puncheon at Palace is only 4.5 which seems cheap, he missed most of last season with a cruciate ligament injury. They've also just signed Kouyate though, so that might push him further down the order. He's in my team for now, with 4.5 in the bank so I can easily jump up to 5m midfielder.

    Will be interesting to see if Papa Soure can get back into the squad, he's the fella that had that awful crash.

    Km79 posted elsewhere that Williams is not training with main team anymore. So that's Jags beside Keane I would say.

    Digne is a LB. Expect him to replace Baines.

    There is a young lad playing in the front 3 for Chelsea preseason who is tearing it up apparently Hudson -Odobi 4.5ml mid
    He will make way for Hazard as he is playing from the left but is also right footed. Could be an injury/transfer away from getting his chance

    Yea I'm picking him too if he looks like starting against Huddersfield. It's not really much of a risk considering his price.

    So Kamara looks an unlikely 4.5 starting striker after they signed Mitrovic.

    I read Quaner started 2 games in pre-season which would be great albeit on the right wing.

    I think bedarnek 4.0 has a good chance of starting gw1. If he starts Southampton's next pre season game its close to a sure thing.

    Who is the most nailed on 4.5 defender at wolves? I can see Coady, Saiss, and Boly all got lots of game time last year and are all CBs, though maybe Saiss plays in midfield a bit?

    Boly seems a goal threat but unsure if he's nailed on

    Whilst Kamara won't start now, they have quite a thin squad so I would still fancy him to get minutes off the bench which is possibly all you can really hope for with a 4.5m striker. Therefore compared with some of the teams with more striking options he still is a good shout imo.

    WanB and Peltier look like they are both going to be starters at 4.0. Gunnarsson at Cardiff also looks like a certain starter in midfield at 4.5.



    Not sure about any forwards lower than 6.0.

    Jimenez at 5.5 is a nailed on starter for Wolves, already scored a few in pre season, if he'll do it in the League is another thing.
    I've been bitten bad before (except for Zaki, that man won me a league years ago).

    From what I can gather about Bednarek, he's keeping Yoshida's spot warm. I'd say he's likely to play GW1 and who knows if he can impress maybe he keeps the spot. Seems they play 3 at the back.

    I'm considering him, likely to warm the bench until WC

    That's actually really handy being able to limit it by team cheers! Are you basing it on how likely they are to just start gw1 or looking at it over a couple of weeks?

    i watched a bit of the southampton game saturday for bedernak. He was fairly poor and partly to blame for the first goal. They made 2 substitutions at HT and bedernak was one of the players that made way. I removed him from my team as he is a riskier pick than he was before that game IMO. In a previous game bedernak got 60 mins and stephens came on for 30. Worrying that it was 45 each on saturday.

    Just GW1/2 was the original plan and then likely update around gw3 or gw4 after it's more concrete when everybody is back.

    I know it’s not a clear indication in the slightest, but every Southampton fan in that spreadsheet I posted yesterday where fans guess their week 1 lineup, had Bednerak benched.
