A girl I know is on far more money than any guy that I know in a similar role. She negotiated very well, in fairness to her, but it is an absolute disgrace that she is earning more than men doing the same job as her!

I agree it was invented but I wouldn’t necessarily agree that it was invented by lazy women who think they deserve the same pay as men. It’s more a feature of the current wave of feminism we’re going through.

If a woman’s a skilled enough negotiator to secure herself better remuneration than a man, fair play to her. However it goes bothe ways, and a man may equally negotiate himself a better deal than any woman

My workplace is currently doing a "Women on Walls" art thing, pictures of prominent women of the past.

I tried pointing out that every one of them had fought to achieve what they had, they had to be twice as good to be thought of as half as successfl.

Contrast that with another campaign to make it "easier" for women to get into the same industry. Basically reducing every single metric to make mediocrity the new standard.

We've gone backwards as a society and definitely as a gender. Countess Markiewcz has a portrait in my building. Fairly certain she never spent the Rising whining about men like some. That's who we should aspire to.
