He had a hidden bank account into which he lodged 1,686 cheques received from patients attending his clinic.
He is very remorseful.

Also: If he lodged that amount of cheques, how much did he take in in cash as well?

Kid will be fine with operation in a few years when his heart is ready for it. Tetralogy of Fallot is usually very repairable and I have a relation who had it who travels the world now.
