Supposedly he hasn't settled on Merseyside and wants a move back to London.

    And what about Klaasen

Why do Everton have a bizarre number of players to play in attacking positions, and yet will be starting Ashley Williams at centre back

Everton may be signing a new left-back so it's wait and see with Leighton.

Plus Siggy will be on FKs, and quite possibly penalties.

Coleman is the Everton defender I like. I reckon he may well be £0.5m underpriced.

Ye I reckon I'm going to go with him and move away from my usual starting strategy of only spending 31.5 maximum on my 2 keepers and 5 defenders.Closer to 36 million this time.

I think Everton could struggle to keep clean sheets even against weaker opposition. They were poor last year and haven't strengthened in defense. Some old defenders too

Would love to get two City players into my attack.

Defo want Sane and most likely Kun but I’m really tempted by Mahrez too.

Jesus only went one round further than Kun at the World Cup. I know he played a lot more minutes but is Kun not a transfer waiting to happen as soon as Jesus is available.

Kun missing USA trading camp just like Jesus is. So will Kun be even be available GW 1 ?

Edit - I’d also love to have the balls to go without Salah. Can put together some team without him.

I'm more than likely going with Kun. Great opening fixtures and alternates well with Salah initially as a captain choice. We should have an idea before the season starts if he'll be good for gw1

Richarlison to Everton now official - £50m!

Tough to decide between him & Theo - going with Rich I think and hoping Silva will get the best from him again

I never usually spend big on defence, but nearly every draft I do I can’t help ending up with:

    Mendy / Robertson / Coleman / £4.5m / £4.0m

Wing backs that get on the ball a lot in the opposition third and have excellent fixtures to start.

What are people doing/thinking re: defence this year?

I'm in that boat too. Used to always be a "rotating keepers and 4.5m defenders" midset, going big this year I think, possibly setup for 4 at the back by default

    Currently:
    Ederson
    Coleman Robertson Shaw VanAhnholt

    Hallo folks.

Long time no speak!. Weird being back.

Down to business. Is Lukaku expecting to play the first game? I would assume no?

Not expected to going by what Jose said. But I wouldn't be surprised if he does. Utd had a lot of players in the WC SF and I can't see Jose not starting with all of them. They are a bit short up front and I reckon lukaku is the most likely of the WC players to start. Having said that I wouldn't chance him.

I've so much work to do before the season starts. Not fun.

I have those 3, Cedric and Bennett.

I want 3 City, 3 Liverpool for those opening weeks and that’s almost impossible to do with just midfielders and forwards.

Same thinking despite not having done so in the past either

    Yeah, I have Mendy/Sane/Aguero and Robertson/Salah/Firmino.

I also have 2 Everton (Coleman and Walcott or Richarlison) plus 2 Watford (Foster and Delefoeu).

It’s heavily fixtures based but I do think all of the above will score well the first few weeks, and it’s probably going to be blown to pieces with a wildcard to get Kane in soon anyway.

After Mirallas has been added to the game, Richarlison's transfer and Silva etc, anyone have any insight into how they will probably lineup? And if any of the attacking players are actually worth a punt? I'm tempted by Richarlison back under Silva.

    Everton fan here o/

I'd be surprised if Mirallas gets near the starting team.

Richi/Siggy/Theo i would say are the main starters. I'm wondering if Silva will play Theo up top instead of Tosun.

    Edited: I forgot about Tosun

Does Richarlison/Walcott and Sigurdsson not heavily lack balance though? I don’t remember any of them being great for the oul tracking back. It would likely make the fullbacks less of an option also.

I would think it would be

    Gueye
    Richi/Siggy/Walcott
    Niasse

But honestly I'm not sure. I'd like to see Walcott up front for a lovely FPL prospect.

Is that with wingbacks and 3 at the back? Or Schneiderlin also in MF? And little chance of Tosun starting the season?

If they line up like that I'm staying well away from Everton defenders

Apologies completely forgot about Tosun! He'll start instead of Niasse.

Also it'll be interesting to see if Bolaise will start. I think we're a bit of a mixbag at the minute, especially from an FPL perspective. I currently have Walcott/Coleman in my team but with Richi signing he's surely the nailed on player so I'll be putting him in.

Everton are looking at Digne which could be a nice prospect. I think it will be a back 4. Jags has been playing pre season along side Keane I believe.

Coleman/Jags/Keane/Baines(Digne if he signs) would be my back line.

As for Schiednerlinn i'm not sure if Silva will play two holding midfielders, did he do so at Watford?

    See above :)

    Now edited to avoid confusion

I think Tosun is the safe option to start with. Can we really say Richy will start every game? I'm not so sure. Could be gold though.
