Doors to match timber floors

We are almost finished renovating and modernising a Victorian property. I’ve put ash ‘worn effect’ floorboards in some areas of the house. So they are grey-ish in colour. I have a dilemma with doors though. How do you match them up with this type of flooring?

If I get oak doors, then the colour clashes. Similarly with walnut. I don’t like pine. I want solid wooden doors. But if I get solid wood and paint then grey or some other colour, doesn’t this (a) defeat the purpose of paying big money for solid wood and (b) painted doors require more maintenance?

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

IMO, that type of flooring is too modern for an unpainted wooden door. The clash would be too strong as compared to a mix of woods in a more neutral or natural hue. You could always try to get a similar effect on the doors? (Wouldn’t be my recommendation.)
