The electric went off here and reading that I thought it happened the whole country.
Mine went too and I couldn't figure out what had happened .
Until I realised could get a weird smell - I had thrown the kettle back onto the base and accidentally switched it on .

I've done that lots, Mam, I just wiped the water up and switched back on, it was grand..... I'm still flummoxed by the trip switch that won't stay up.. Is there anyone who knows a electrician who can help?.. I need a qualified one, I was told the circuit breaker needs to be replaced, and it can't be a Handyman you can employ to fix that... PM me if you have any recommendations.0 -

Colly , I wish there had been water to wipe up , it was so bad that the bottom of the kettle melted...
