a) Caitlin Jenner is a trans woman. She is not gender neutral.

b) you would be surprised how many quite well-known and admired people identify/ have identified as gender neutral in some way.

Actually, Ripley was originally male when the script was written, which I expect explains why she's such a cool kick ass character and not some big-titted woman who swishes her hair a lot and still needs a male sidekick to really rescue her in a battle had she been written as a female character.
