Really enjoyed Narcos and drug Lords and I just wondered if there are anymore South American or Spanish documentaries /dramas that are worth watching on netflix. They don't necessarily have to be about drugs. Thanks in advance.

El chapo. 10/10. Real life drama.

The superb Brazilian character study Aquarius is well worth a look - as far as you can get from the drug dramas in some ways, but a lovely, compassionate, intelligent piece of filmmaking. Sonia Braga gives what is unquestionably one of the best performances of the last few years.

How it Ends with Forest Whitaker.

    Avoid at all costs.

Very ironic that this ends terribly.

One of the best movies I've seen in recent years. Not sure how well it will translate to the smaller screen, and I can fully understand why some will hate it. I thought it was absolutely astonishing though.

Christ ya add me to the hate list :pac:

    Pretentious art house drivel.

gangsters paradise jerusalema 2008, real gem hard to find it thou nowadays.

cabin in the woods on netflix- comedy horror, well laid out idea, no need to really think about it just enjoy.

les miserables with gerard de parteau early 2000s, not the few years back released musical, really deep 3 parts split into 3 hours, french movie so another lost one if someone finds it in English worth the time and good story.
forgot Mollys Game 2017 - real life based story quite new, but missed it just to be told by someone to watch it good story based on real facts.

watched predestination - easy to watch but total mind fck at the end leaves you wondering but +1 for recommending it.

Any decent horror, drama someone would recommend that wouldn't be to old and good story with it besides all the known ones ?

I watched The Witch recently, its not so much scary, just very uncomfortable to watch. No jump scares, just pure uneasiness for 90 minutes. Never again :pac:

Really enjoyed The Stanford Prison Experiment.

It’s a film based on the psychology experiment carried out in 1971.

    Really good cast too!

I found this good to watch, it's an area I find very interesting. Does anyone have any suggestions for a true crime documentary?

Just don't watch the trailer. It practically gives away the whole movie.

French drama The Forest is excellent.

6 parts and each episode done very well with some fine acting. I think the ratings should be slightly higher as this was brilliant from start to finish with no unanswered questions.

Agree, I really enjoyed this. Like a six parter, can binge on it on a day off and still get some other stuff done too :)

I posted this elsewhere but maybe the wrong place.

Watching El Patron del Mal at the moment about Pablo Escobar the Colombian drug dealer. 10 or 11 episodes in and it is really good. It is meant to be better than Narcos but I haven't seen that one.

In Spanish with English subtitles. Some great acting in it.

    Cabin Fever (2016)
As a flesh-eating virus rips its way through a remote woodland cabin, the terrified teens vacationing inside wonder who'll fall victim next.
    The Stranger (1946)
A Nazi fugitive hiding in Connecticut tries to keep his identity hidden from his naïve new wife while a dogged investigator pursues him relentlessly.
El club de los buenos infieles
Four childhood buddies in passionless marriages try a counterintuitive idea: a secret club for men who want to cheat -- to regain lust for their wives.

Presumably my 5+ year old Samsung won't get the update; we've already been stuck on the older interface anyway (as in older than the very current one), and it really sucks.
