Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nope that they play the larger field.

I'll take that bet may as well be for a Metallica ticket.

    3arena,Malahide,Marlay,Kilmainham,Iveagh Gardens you win.

    Phoenix Park,RDS,Slane,Aviva,Croker I win?

Obvs they have to come summer 2019.

And if they don't come, €50 each to a charity of your choice.

Liam Gallagher said at the end of his gig he’ll be back in 2019. He also tweeted it. Another trip to Malahide or indoor in the 3 Arena??

Wishful thinking but maybe with a reformed Oasis

That would be the dream but I can't see it in the short term anyways.

I think there coming next year, JBJ did say recently they were planning to tour Europe in 2019 and they always come here but i would have my doubts about seeing them in a stadium as his voice is not what it was and he can't hit the high notes anymore and from the clips i have seen on You tube he is def struggling to keep his voice intact

id say we will say them in Europe next year since done all of the Americas and now Asia/Australia . I would love to see them in somewhere like PUC. Looking at rock roll hall of fame if they got Richie back his vocals would be able to carry JBJ. It would be some stadium show with Richie,Phil X and John shanks on guitars

With the 2018 concert summer season nearing the end of the road. We can start preparing for what 2019 might bring for us gig lovers

My bucket list has been emptied a lot these past few years and I can't think of many more bands I have to see for the first time. Few bands I didn't see yet they favourites of mine are Green Day, Queens of the stone age, Oasis(if they ever reform), Liam Gallagher.

Van Halen need to get off their a***s and get back on the road.

I think David Lee Roth did a solo show here once.

25th anniversary of Definitely Maybe and Glastonbury is back. Highly unlikely but you never know

With Eddie's son Wolfgang who is also the bass player in the band now releasing a solo album soon there is not much chance of that depending how he decides to promote the album.

Any news on Macca? I know he's playing London last this year, anyone any idea whether he's likely to make it over here next year?

He's in London, Liverpool and Glasgow in December. Tickets go on sale at 10 in the morning and I'm going to try and get one, don't care for where. He is at the very top of my bucket list by a good stretch.

When did he last play here?

Same here. Thank god I followed this thread. Thought I had signed up to his fan site for the pre-sale but I never got an email about it so I missed out. Will be aiming for Glasgow tomorrow morning then.

I signed up for the presale myself but it was only for early release tickets and was a lottery.

10.00 am tomorrow, I'm not holding out much hope as I'm sure Ticketbastard will be swamped but you never know.

Bah, won't be travelling abroad for the gigs, the tickets will be pricey enough without flights and accommodation on top. Bastard, come to Ireland you damn Beatle.

It's not just Ireland that is skipped by Van Halen it's all of Europe. They only seem to tour the states and Japan

I'd love too see them but would rather it be with Michael Anthony on the bass rather than Wolfgang. Relations in the band can be hit and miss

Flights from Belfast to Glasgow are £50 atm and we've reserved a room for £100. For us that's almost cheaper than a night in Dublin would be so we're happy to pop over to Glasgow. Just need the tickets now!

    How'd you get on?

I managed to snag one, delighted! £17 service charge is disgusting though.

No joy. Actually raging with Ticketbastard. 2 of us trying to get them but got nothing. Had 2 in the basket but it kept saying 'Cannot connect to server' when I went to complete the purchase. Furious.

Caved and bought the VIP tickets for Glasgow. £325 per ticket. :(
If he announces an Irish date I'm actually gonna lose my mind. Will keep an eye on this thread just in case.

He's announced other dates in Europe - Krakow and Vienna so far - in December too so it's possible he'll announce for over here at some stage. I don't care though, if he plays here I'll go to it too and bring my wife.

I was at Feis Liverpool last Saturday week and they confirmed there will be another one next year. No dates or acts yet but it was a great show (apart from the usual long queues for beer, food and toilets) I would go again, they will be post Brexit by then so that might or might not affect things.

Actually annoyed that this is in the academy, every other show on the tour is all seating in an old church, surely they could have used Christ Church cathedral or St Patrick's for this.

Maybe for the Dublin gig you have to go through ticketbasterd but for the Belfast gig you can buy directly from the Ulster Hall. :D

I know the Scottish show has been upgraded to the Ushers Hall. Didnt know that it was mostly seating/church style venues for the tour.

Take That will be touring Greatest Hits next year, sounds like global tour, Rod Stewart announced in Kilkenny in 2016 he would see us again in 3 years so would not put that beyond him as still adding dates in the US & talk of the infamous Garth Brooks finally coming back to Croke Park next May/June, he launches stadium tour this autumn in the US!

Except that Ulster Hall used to be a £1.50 transaction fee, which is now £2.50. An additional £1.50 to post tickets.

At least it goes to Belfast council .... I guess ....

I would rather pay a fiver to the Ulster Hall than less to ticketbasterd. And in any case there was a problem with my card so I called the ticket office and they put the order through for me there and cancelled the CC charge so I'm happy enough.

(also full disclosure I work for the council so really I'm only paying my own wages :D)
