Harsh, he knew who he was passing it for.

I didn't say he didn't know what he was doing, it was obviously an intentional pass.

I said he was fortunate that someone with the outrageous pace of Mbappe was running on to the ball. The ground he (Mbappe) makes up is what makes the pass look so good.

    Fortunate

favoured by or involving good luck; lucky

there was no luck in it.

He knew mbappe had the pace so he played the ball behind the defender knowing he would beat him. if that was mata on right wing, ball would have been played to his feet instead

Alexis Sanchez misses out on Manchester United tour of the US after being refused entry due to visa issues

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5959629/Alexis-Sanchez-misses-Man-United-tour-refused-entry-visa-issues.html

It's understood that Sanchez has encountered problems obtaining a visa to enter the US after accepting a prison sentence for tax fraud in Spain in February.

He was charged with illegally defrauding the Spanish treasury of £885,000 while a Barcelona player in the 2012-13 season.

It related to allegations that he used a Malta-based company to receive image rights payments from Barca. United boss Jose Mourinho, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are among the other leading football figures to be investigated by the Spanish authorities.

Sanchez agreed to repay the money in full and accepted a 16-month prison sentence which means he did not have to go to jail because the punishment was less than two years.

What was the story with all these high profile tax cases in Spain, some loophole get closed or something? I thought a good accountant was supposed to be able to keep it all above board - what's with all the suspended sentences and fines?

It seemed to be that there was a small pool of accountants running multiple high profile players/manager's accounts the same way. Everyone used the same accountants, so when one player/manager was caught, a dozen were pulled in the same way.

    Simon Stone [BBC]

Understand Alexis Sanchez's present absence from @ManUtd tour is due to visa issue. He accepted 16-month suspended jail sentence in Spain in February. Could be granted a waiver but process taking longer than anticipated.

    Follow up

Re Sanchez. Actual wording is this "An applicant is inadmissible if convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude". As he is going for specific reason and not intending to stay and can afford good lawyers, if anyone is going to get in, it will be AS.

You can tell the WC is over, cause the mupptery starts back up

Christian Falk: Anthony Martial is much sought after by new Bayern scout Laurent Busser. Player is currently not in Bayern's plans, but he could be in 2019 when Robben and Ribery leave and Martial's contract expires.

He's fairly reliable for Bayern, but does seem to have missed we have a 1 year extension we can use, so it would be 2020.
