No point comparing Pogba with France to Pogba with United its to different in to many ways,
Its like comparing Sterling with to City with Sterling England,
International football and club football is a different ball game,

Not even sure what your point is.

Stop praising the United player, he only did well because of his teammates?

Again this kind of ties in with the above, he played a restrictive and defined game with United at the start of the season and in fairness I’d fear for Jose’s mental health if one of his players didn’t have a defined role. :pac: he makes plenty of runs into the box for France in fairness and plays a more creative role than you are making out.

Can’t agree with that at all as I don’t agree with your assertion that he is truly restricted in his creative play for France. He could easily play the same role for us( and imo I believe he already has)

We anyways won't agree as we see the game completely different, so just saving time here.

Also check the touch map and see how many touches Pogba had in the box, also check the heat map and see how many times Pogba made forward runs.

All the heat maps, touch maps, passing maps will show you his game was not in final third. He barely had a touch in the box.

He can obviously play same role for us, just that we won't score many goals as our attacking player will be poor if Pogba stays deep.

He deserves praise he played very very well but to expect the same Pogba at United is a little just silly,
    To many differences,
Another thing people forget is players also tend to do jobs for the national team that they wouldn't for there club teams,
Players can be talked into playing a certain way for a month for the good of there country,
To many variables from International football to club football to expect a player to do the exact same thing,

Yeah thought so when read few funny points, then checked, Liverpool fan so yeah, you are correct.

Took few months break, so need some time to see which poster supports which team. Adds context to the posts.

Would expect the Willian links to spark up big time now then.

Jamie Jackson and Hirst are reporting Bale will stay at Madrid. Wonder which player will play as RW next season as that was the weakest spot.

Well not really, they are reporting that the new manager, won’t even try spell his name without googling, will tell him that he wants Bale to stay in their meeting this afternoon. Both are saying it’s expected, but are running on nothing whatsoever.

Tbf Bale falls for it every year, he’s told all the time in Madrid that he will be the main man, in the end he never is, can see Lopawhateverhisnameis favouring Isco and Arsenio personally.

Thanks Adamocovic, agree with your post too. Like you said, just doing simple things isn't good enough for ManUtd, when he keeps it simple and do just basics he gets criticism for not attacking box or not creating chances.

Pure fiction, there were different requirements made of Pogba depending on the role José was asking him to play.

He regularly phoned it in when asked to play a similar role Deschamps asks him to play.

I'd love for you to find a quote from any poster on this forum being critical of Pogba for keeping it simple.

Wouldn’t mind Perisic personally as he can play all across the front and runs his bollox off for the cause, really has a very good cross with both feet too

Comparing Pogba of France to United is just silly, France have better players than United and at the same time they are also been playing against worse sides than United come up against,
    Its useless comparing the two.,
France have Kante and Matudi beside him doing the donkey work and when he gets the ball he realises it to Greizman and Mbappe,
Also the fact that most international sides are afraid of France means he's under very little pressure on the ball as teams don't press them in fear of being picked off,
It's so different in so many ways it's useless to compare.,

Pogba covered for Kante in the world cup final
Since when is it a fact sides are afraid of another team?

He was consistently under pressure from the Croatian midfield yesterday as an example.

Maybe, just maybe a team improves with Pogba in the side

Saw the headline which said the move is over. Didn't read the article

When Pogba didn't create any chance, he was criticized for not creating chances. I don't have to go through all the posts, I read more than enough in last few years to know that. Also boards search function is lot harder to find posts and we had more than 10 ManUtd superthreads since he joined.

Re Deschamps asking him to play different role, well that's what France wants. Not something ManUtd wants and I'm not going to go through all that again with one more poster. (apologies if that came bit rude, not my intention)

    Oh yeah,
Bale is yet to discuss his future with Lopetegui, having been on holiday before Real’s pre-season training started on Monday. The 29-year-old will seek assurances that he will become a starter again, having spent much of last season on the bench under Zinedine Zidane.

Click bait headline and I didn't read article.

Going back to perisic, was he valued at €50 million last year? Did he sign an extension after the transfer window and would he be valued at more now?

Thought he had a great world cup, you can see he's a real Jose type player, absolute work horse, powerful and not too wasteful. 50 million, id say thats about right.

"Luke. Shaw could leave on a free transfer next summer".

So he's gonna be happy to sit on his arse for a season and get a nice big signing on fee from a new club.

or he is going to have a great pre season, start the season as first choice left back and have a brilliant season

Or just another false dawn where we get our hopes up for him and inevitably get disappointed.

Been there, done that, wore the t-shirt, outgrew the t-shirt, passed it onto Luke Shaw, the t-shirt fits him depending on the time of year he wears it.

Seriously though, I would not be surprised to see him sold before the transfer window ends. I hope for the best for him at United, but that hope has turned to blind faith by now.

In other words, rolling back on their earlier bull**** reports

Sure maybe we should loan Pogba out for the season. Somewhere like West Brom would be perfect for him, going on some of the criticisms you read.

Tbf I don’t think anyone really believes he’s not a top player, the problems were more with his application and determination last season really.. doubt anyone would seriously say that he is only West Brom level

West Brom was tongue-in-cheek, but I do think that the more time which passes since last season, the worse Pogba's season for United becomes to some.
