So you've went from being the europa league player of the tournament to 1 game against chelsea argument.....wtf
Could count more games where fellani had a great game as well but with your rose tinted glasses you wouldn't agree.

No im making a point that no matter what he does it will never be enough for some.

Because he doesnt do it for us bud, he doesnt do it enough. Im a huge pogba fan but i can critise the player if he's not doing his job.
You should hold the same value of perception to all the utd players and not have pogba above the rest for a free pass.
He's hasnt been great for us, everyone can see, and pin pointing to one game weakeans your case as his level has beeb very poor.

    Exactly.
Time (if he stays) for him to grab his United career by the scruff of the neck.
    No more excuses.
No more expecting him to play 10 out of 10 games.
Consistently putting in 8 out of 10 will do me..

Pogba has neither been consistently great, nor overall piss-poor. The two extremes being taken lead to a sh1t show of a thread. Painful to see this fcking rubbish debate every few weeks with stupidly extreme stances taken, leading to no hope of anything but b1tching.

Pogba has been OK, been great, shown flashes and has been disappointing. A lot is on him, enough should be on Jose too (name the attacking players that have consistently done well under Jose for us...? Lingard and..... No one at all)

Pogba needs to step up for us and Jose needs to devise a way to provide him and the rest of our players a platform.

United in general were horrid to watch a lot last season, that points to giant structural issues in the side and tactics.

**** show of a thread when two people have a discussion. Calm yourself down, its being discussed as he just won the world cup and has had a solid WC but wont do it for us.
We need rules now mitch on what we can discuss or not

Ah you can choose Stu! I missed Chicharito so it wasn't fully complete anyway :D

Sorry little pea, how could I forget you :(

I googled which charity uses most of its donations for the actual work, and not overpaid CEOs or expenses. ALONE apparently use 100% of donations for their charity work, so they just got 100% of €5 courtesy of us high-rollers here in the United thread.

    Oh...and if you don't know what ALONE do;

How about you don't base your position on the extreme of 'Pogba has been piss poor end of', as a discussion that allows for the more subtle reality of he's gone from great to poor and everywhere in between is far less likely to result in back and forth entrenched shouting.

When only extreme positions are taken; yes, the resulting debate is a painful sh1t show.

I'll know before he sets foot on the pitch if he has coloured streaks through his hair it means he's switched back to his previous ****e form. Don't think he had it done in this world cup and he was very good I thought. It's all linked I'm telling yee .

But seriously I felt in this world cup he just played his position properly. At Utd last season it felt like he was trying to be all things everything. Just keep it simple, not too much Hollywood and he has the potential to be a Utd great

This. Too often he goes for the Hollywood pass or tries to beat 3 or 4 players when the simple ball is on. He needs to get the balance right and know when to play simple. If he gets his head down and develops that consistency he could definitely become a great player.

Even as he of his bigger supporters....it is make or break.

He's set the bar himself by finishing second last season. He either needs to win the league or play some of the craziest football and come solidly second next year to continue "progression".

Limping towards second with boring football won't be good enough next season.

I agree he needs to be seen as taking the club forward. I don't agree with the win or bust scenario, getting rid of Jose after this season puts us on a slippery slope imo.

I didn't think Pogba's performance yesterday was a million miles away from some of this outings for United. The big difference being that France ended up comfortably won the game.

There were moments of quality, there were moments where he made the wrong decision, there were moments where he seemed to get shrugged off the ball easily and he went down looking at the ref, there were moments where he found himself in good attacking positions.

I'm not sure what the narrative would have been if France didn't get that bit of luck in the first half.

Pogba's best moments this WC came playing through balls on the break to Mbappe.

While that has been a feature id argue his best moments have been his work ethic and taking responsibility for his defensive duties, something José has begged him to do at united.

He puts in a shift for France and doesn't for us, it's as simple as that.

Saw a funny post online but can't link from work.

Basically was a Facebook post on an American page with Pogba's stats last night and a picture of him holding the World Cup. Now clearly these stats we're just for the final game, stats like 4 tackles, 55 touches, 2 shots, 1 goal.

Well one lad mistook that for his stats for the entire tournament and ripped into him saying he was brutal, dividing the stats thinking he only had 9 touches per a game and etc. The replies to him were gas.

Mitch I'm not been funny bud but you have a fair few extreme positions when it comes to United too and especially when it's half ways through a transfer window.

But I do agree with you alot of the discussions in here that keep dragging on and on are because we have no middle ground or accept that there is a middle ground but I guess that's just life.

crikey, looks like the pogba debate was in full swing again...

surely its time for a round of Nani was misunderstood.. if only anderson wasn't fat... Tclevz23 was a genius..

Congrats to Pogba on yesterday and France for their win. Hopefully Pogba can continue that vein of solid dependable form through into the '18/19 season for Manchester United. From what i saw of him he played within the structure, played deeper but went forward when needed, made mistakes but scored a couple too and overall he seemed more disciplined. If we get this version of Pogba for the next season and beyond i think we'll all be happy.

Probably one of Pogba's biggest fans, happy he has won the world cup, but only in the hope that he realises he doesn't need to hold onto the ball for 45 seconds or do 560 twirls before releasing it and that you can be a TRULY great player by being consistently good game after game doing the very simple 5 yard passes as well as setting off the attack when you see a runner.

Also i had france tipped before the world cup but was very sorry to see Modric and co lose, with a population of 4 million odd it would have been an amazing achievement to win it, hell it was an amazing achievement to get to the final anyway.

United apparently not commenting on Sanchez not going to the states.

    Very odd.

Could be personal and the club don't want to bring on more attention.

I'm genuinely suprised there was another Pogba debate. The WC showed us absolutely nothing new about him.

Pogba apparently wanting out of United for Barcelona was top of the sport headlines on News Talk just now.

I might just switch off from United news for the day.

News is from Diario Sport, or as I call them Diarrhoea Sport, the Spanish equivalent of the Metro

Cheers Dave. I've since looked on r/reddevils to see wtf these 'Spanish reports' were. I couldn't find any mention of it.

Get a world cup winners medal and win a transfer out of Manchester United.
If we could make a deal happen for a talented player with him as a make weight we probably should do it.

Whether you are on the extreme of either end of the Pogba spectrum, or just floating in the middle, at least you can take joy in the fact that Graeme Souness is gutted and hesitantly back-peddling.

Before the tournament he called Pogba a YouTube footballer, lazy, called for him to be dropped from France for them to have a chance, poor game-manager, and undisciplined.

Now he is saying José is the fault and reluctantly praised Pogba for being more of a team player, just for the tournament, but also said he had to play well with Kante and Matuidi beside him because it would be embarrassing if he didn't put in the effort.

He stated the French victory "leaves me with a bad taste".
I can imagine his reaction seeing Pogba lift the World Cup after scoring in the final.

Not bad for a YouTube footballer.
