40mm to 35mm? Fitting

I need to move the waste pipe outside my kitchen. Old one seems to be 40mm but where it enters the old pipe it goes through a reducer. I tried a 32mm push fit as that's what I assumed it is, but it won't fit - 32mm is too narrow. I tried to measure the internal diameter of the old fitting and it looks to be 35mm or so but I can't find any fittings/reducers of that size online.

Anyone know what it is? I'll try to get a photo up.

    Thanks

Have you tried to accurately measure the diameter(s) of the pipes? With a calipers or something?

When you say 32mm pushfit...are you in ireland? Where are you getting your fittings?

Went to plumbers' merchants and it turns out my old waste pipe was wavin 40mm, but the "normal" weld pipes are 43mm, which is what I was testing against.

Gave me a universal joint and I'm all sorted. Happy days.

    Thanks
