Ryzen 5 and ram

Hey guys looking for some advice,
I'm building on a gigabyte ab350 gaming 3 board and using the AMD ryzen 5 2400g cpu but when looking for ram there seems to be a lot of talk about compatibility issues?
I see g.skill and geil make ryzen compatible ram but there expensive.
Anyone have experience with the ryzen cpu's and ram?

Your best bet is to check the Gigabyte website for the approved vendors list of RAM. There will be a list specific to your motherboard

Ya I've been there and it lists quite a few for that motherboard but from what I've read it's the ryzen cpu thats causing the compatibility problem with the ram, that's why some company's are selling ryzen ready ram for big money!

Use Geizhals/Skinflint to find the best current market prices (PCPartpicker isn't 100% reliable here).

Overclockers have a sale on 3200 with there team group 8 pack ram its going pretty cheap and its got good timings.

Check people's builds on pc part picker. With your mobo and processor. See if anyone commented about compatability issues
