Can safely say any of the French fans here I talk to don't see it that way. It isn't one player better than another.

Most see it as Kante plays a certain way which allows Pogba to flourish.

Neither is being discussed better than another but rather that they both as a duo have been very good.

Also Matuidi? Wasn't it discussed before here that Matuidi isn't even as central when Giroud is starting? So not too sure about the Matuidi comparison.

People used the French formation in their argument about Pogba playing in pretty much a two man midfield with Matuidi on the right with a tendency to cut in when Hernandez pushes on, and now it seems most are referring to it as a 3 man midfield designed for Pogba.

Despite what people think of Pogba and his contributions to our team there is no denial the critical role he's played for France.

Following on from Pogba I find it hilarious so many are saying they don't care how he performs for France and that it's about how he performs for us.

I understand their frustration from our part but let's not pretend that if he was brutal and they crashed out people wouldn't be using his poor performances with France as justifications for their opinion of him.

I think that’s unfair. It implies then that people who are crisis for his performances at Utd think he is actually a poor player and are being justified by (theoretical) poor performances for France.

I don’t think anyone has said that about Pogba and that is the frustration with him and his time at Utd.

That’s the whole point of the view “I don’t care how he performs for France” or more accurately what I said “I’m not delighted for Pogba..”

If anything it adds to the frustration of his performances at Utd.

I want all the players at Utd to play well for the club. Even if I moan about them or don’t rate them or don’t think they are good enough for the team, whatever, I’d be more satisfied to see them do well and prove my points wrong than somehow feel some sort of vindication for my views on them on an anonymous Internet forum and somehow being proven right.
