I have a 19 year old lad helping me out on the farm a day or two every week, drawing bales topping fertilizer ect.Just wondering is he insured to drive my tractor or do i have to get him named on my policy. He has a licence but no insurance policy of his own.

He doesn't need separate insurance, just the appropriate licence.

Your policy will state what drivers are covered. If in doubt contact your insurance company or broker.

Most tractor policies insure 17-70 year olds. check with your insurer or on the insurance certificate
