I wonder is it a second tx. 94.3 was been jammed in the North East this evening

I assume you mean Co. Louth (rather than north east Dublin) ?

Jamming activity on 94.3 there might be particularly dubious considering being close to the border and the BBC R. Ulster adjacent +0.2MHz on 94.5

Is all input not treated as stereo regardless of source? I thought encoders operated this way, unless it's a really weird setup! Or do people mean the sound is fluctuating.

Someone also needs to sort out that ad for the barbers, as in, create a new ad.

I’m not a sound engineer but I think your latter theory is more accurate
    And agree about the add

Trax Dublin sounding great in East meath this evening. Did they turn up power? Or would it be the weather? 94.3 not great this evening

Co Meath I'm in. Not bbc as it was quiet. Like another blank carrier blocking it out

Getting Phever on 91.6, not full strength - but it's there.

there seem to be a few different low power stations using it along with retro-now which isn't a dublin station.

Is Easy still on 88.1? Any sign of Retro over the weekend?

i presume this is because of an upcoming temp? or is this a permanent move?

    Maybe.

But they are now between RTE 2FMs 90.7 & 91.3, crazy choice of frequency, but could be an attempt to limit the jamming too.

i agree 91.0 is not a good choice of frequency tbh. i don't think any station that has used it has lasted long on there.

Yea very close to rte but Phever lasted a good long time on 91.6 fm which is very close to 91.3. I think Phever where very high power to

Is Phever still on low power?
And how is 91.0 any worse than 93.2? Retro broadcast on 91.0 for ages

I think it's the same looking in, 0.3 away from a legal. Sign of the times. Fm is becoming over crowded. I wonder will they ever get Dab off the ground in Ireland. Seems to be working in the UK

i wouldn't bank on it. it would be good if it did though, it would be a shot in the arm that the current legal broadcasters need.

Given that DAB in the UK has become a mess of automated, lifeless secondary stations to the networked cannibalisation of the original local stations like Heart 80s and the like, I would imagine commercial DAB would just be used by the likes of Communicorp and Murdoch's operation to launch similar cheap spinoff stations further driving the race to the bottom

2fm is also coming in on 91.0fm here in the North East. Not sure where its coming from but it's like the jammer is back, except its 2fm/hot fm. Can't see rte letting this go to long

Unlikely jamming. As you are North East, it could be 91.1 from Monaghan.
