What was up with you sully?

I have a cold all week. Just got over it and then I get bit by a ****ing clag and I am allergic to them. Four areas on my leg all swollen and then a blister appears on each.

    What’s a clag???

I have a very bad ear infection and ended up in a&e last weekend needing IV antibiotics because my ear swelled shut.

Finally got back from Paris this morning. Wrecked. Got to bed at 12 and up at 3 to get from one airport to another for the red eye.

Sleeping in hot weather is bad. But having hangover in hot weather may actually be worse. I feel like a puddle of melted shíte. Can someone please bring me food? Or just............something to make it stop?

Make some Pimms cups. You’ll be drunk again so won’t have a hangover and it’s also full of fruit so you won’t be hungry.

    Win win really

I love the good weather. I really do! I’m incredibly lucky that I changed career and now have a few months off in the summer. I will be doing some work over the next few weeks though, keeping myself out of trouble. But I understand how lucky I am that I didn’t have to do any work the past few days.
(I probably would have been signed off sick anyway so kind of irrelevant)

However I cannot fathom how anyone can sleep in this weather. Usually in the heat on holidays I have had a sangria or two so find it easier to sleep. But even with the windows open my room is like a sauna.

I have college tomorrow. I hope the aircon is working.

Fresh air and draught. In our room we have a door that goes from the ensuite to the back roof garden and in our adjacent bedroom we have a double patio door. We open both and let the draught keep us cool, Have the insect nets on both. But we also sleep with just a sheet on the bed and sometimes on top of that when it is REALLY hot. You get used to it. What you guys are talking about is not really hot at night!

    We called them clegs!

Top teams are getting knocked out of the WC faster than roles got revealed in the last game of WW

The last game of WW was more entertaining than the Spain vs Russia match

    Belgium to win it

Heh. Ironically England's path just got a whole lot easier though.

I'd say there were bottles of Russian vodka opened in your household though Pter.

That was a very exciting second half of the soccer ball. Being 1/8th Belgian I was supporting them, but you gotta feel sorry for Japan.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,024 ✭✭✭✭Baggly

Why? They had too many men forward for the corner.

    Their own fault.

    Belgian waffle anyone?

Because they weren’t expected to win and they lost a 2 goal lead. I always feel sorry for the losing team. I was devo’d for Denmark yesterday, but mainly because I love Kasper.

I teared up when his da went from being so happy for him to being devastated for him alright.

Ah fair play to Japan anyway. They did better than people expected, I think.

They looked pretty out of it at the end and were probably right to take the shot at the win then bring it to extra times as they didnt seem like they would be able to shut up shop versus a team of giants for 30 mins.

No excuse though for not having anyone in the middle of the pitch to take out stop the counter

Doesn't strike me as the Japanese way to play football so cynically though.

Agreed, definte lack of dragonballs and spinning kicks. Would have enjoyed seeing them use their powerups.

Can't believe they left the Gundam on the bench as well.
