Window frame metal moving parts maintenace

When I got double glazed pvc windows and doors in 16 yrs ago the lads said to grease the moving parts with vaseline.

I just had one window adjusted now by a man who does window repairs and he has told me to use a non oil based product like Tec7.

He said vaseline and wd40 are oil based.

So 'what' should I be using lads.

Some none oily options

Graphite powder and PTFE spray

LOL As for Tec7 in a builders merchants and you'd more than likely get a sealant but the Tec7 company also make a lubricant but its not anything like as well known.

Can't be 100% sure but it sounds like its a non sticky lubricant. The point being oil is sticky and attracts dust and dirt when you open the windows, with a non sticky lubricant you aren't capturing the dust and dirt to make grinding paste with them.
