Hi, I am having my 2nd test scheduled in two weeks. Am I supposed to use my sun glass during the test? Do I need to get any pre-approvals for that?

If they're prescription glasses, then your learner's permit should say whether or not you're obliged to wear them while driving - doesn't matter if they're tinted or not.

If you just want to wear normal sunglasses with no prescription, you don't need any permissions. I recommend polarised glasses to help reduce glare.

You can use sunglasses, of course. You will need to be very obvious with head movements because the tester will no longer be able to see your eyes.

Also remember that popping them on and off while driving wouldn't be appropriate. If it does become dull and you need to take them off, wait until you've come to a stop and have the handbrake applied, such as at a set of lights.

The tester doesn't look at your eyes. How would he/she? They will determine whether you are checking your mirrors by small head movements.

OP - put the sun glasses on before you move off. Don't be rooting around looking for them during the test. If it gets dull, just push them up onto your head.
