Creating a squarespace .ie Site

    Hi,

    I need to build a rather basic .ie website, with my limited technical knowledge I have chosen squarespace to build it with.

    I understand squarespace don't sell .ie domains so I am buying one off blacknight.com

    My questions are

    1. When I am purchasing my domain do I need to buy hosting for it aswell? (I'm only buying it to hook up to my squarespace site)

    2. Can I link my .ie domain to my squarespace site? The video linked below shows how to do it supposedly, but yet .ie is not on squarespace's list of available TLDs so I'm a bit confused

    You should direct these questions to Squarespace and Blacknight directly. They'll know their systems back to front.

    Blacknight can definitely hook up your domain to whatever DNS you want it to hook up to. http://marclaffan.com points to a Digital Ocean droplet via blacknight
