    OR?

You're only playing at it, the regulars will be along once they see the 800 years bat signal to show you how it's done.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

I like wearing a Liverpool jersey... does that count?

Liverpool is East Dublin not England...

If your a grow man wearing a football jersey and not playing or training you should be shot on site regardless of the team , nation or whatever ,

    Hard not to agree.

    Not this year.

Some people will think wearing an English jersey is taboo. The fact that there is a thread asking about it is significant. We like to think we are liberal but you wont see a union flag outside a hotel .... or if there is the odd one, it gets discussed at length on Joe Duffy.

Ah not at all. You can wear anything you like now, like pyjamas to the supermarket in the morning or a tracksuit to the pub.
These people should also be shot ,

Mine arrived this morning. A few raised eyebrows in work but that's from the usual crowd

Then I'd say it's a strange choice of shirt unless you're a. Looking for shock value or b. Trying to make a veiled point about people who support an English club or c. Both.

Ohh, i think we can safely go with b

Wouldn't worry OP, they won't be in the cup long enough to get much use out of it anyway.

I saw a sign on a pub on Abbey St in Dublin - "no tracksuits". :)

It's a vicious form of self-flagellation going on how they tend to perform

If you're English fair enough otherwise no way should you be putting on that Jersey.

I'd certainly not wish it on anyone else.

No,have an awful lot of family in England and my Grandparents lived there for a time when they where younger.

LOL, this reminds me of a few friends of mine trying to justify following Man United, "but my uncle worked in manchester in the 70s"

Wearing football jerseys outside football stadiums is tacky unless you are 5. Possible exception is Nigerian jersey which is apparently hipster fashion statement.

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,155 ✭✭✭✭Grayson

I was born in England and i wouldn't even consider wearing one.

last time I was on holidays i was in Amsterdam. England were playing Holland. English fans took over parts of the city center. Over 100 were arrested. I spent the day repeating over and over again that i wasn't English.

Why would an Irish person support the English national team for it practically amounts to treason.
