Could i just do my own thing? Like build a hugh rise building and or a new bridge across a river in a town i feel needs it? Most councils say that they cant afford to do such so this could help i guess?

And yes i know that planning laws, nimbyism etc would stand in the way. I could bribe these morons with some of the money raised.

    Thoughts?

Successful kickstarter campaigns are mostly just advertising for VC investment.

    I had a Yamaha yv100 for a few years.

It had a broken kickstart and I had to push start it every time.

    Pain in the arse.

OP... push button starts are all the rage now.
Not sure where that leaves your plans?

I'd like for someone to genuinely try this.

However the various forms of government would sabotage the effort.
Can't have anyone show up the inefficient practices currently in use.

    Go for it.
Raise the funds then offer it to the council to build the infrastructure you and your backers want.
You would be better off approaching the council first and have them confirm and agree to build the project if you raise enough money. That will give you more legitimacy.

You won't get to keep the money of course but there would be indirect benefits for you. Successfully raising a few million quid will be a great thing to have on the aul CV and would no doubt open doors for you.

But this after hours, so whatevs build a statue of Marty Morrissey and blast it with piss or something
