PRSI EYE TEST

    Is it possible to apply, do the PRSI eye test and get the glasses in the one day. Or do I have to fill a Form and wait for that to be approved?

    The likes of Specsavers put your PPSN into their computer and it tells them straight away if you are eligible. You can then have your eye test and if needed you can order glasses.

    Not sure about the other shops.

    Almost all Opticians can get your PRSI authorisation on the same day. Some can have your glasses ready the same day too but that will depend on what you need.

    All practises can check online. It's worth noting that the site can be down for maintenance on the weekends so if you are thinking of doing it over the weekend, phone ahead and ask them to check in advance online
