    I know nothing about gambling. I would love to try online gambling, leaning more toward casino than sport which I don't know much about. Can anyone tell me what I should know and especially what sites are safest and if I can use a prepaid card for it. How do wins work? Are they transferred to a card number or what? The only other card I have is a debit card and I don't want to go through my bank if I can. Please help me, I've asked this a few other places and got no answers :(

    Seriously if there was a surer way to lose money out your rear end it's the casino games offered by bookie sites. do you think it's a computer program set up to give the bookie's money away, or the reverse? it's of course totally rigged, and set up to entice you with bright colored nonsense. bonuses. oh, and they often let you win a few spins early on to hook you.

    I have no problem with gambling being legal and if you ask my opinion on a match/race/tournament etc I'd give it but if anyone ever says 'I'm gonna start gambling and don't know how it works.' I wouldn't hesitate to tell them KEEP IT THAT WAY.

    How much will it cost alone for you to learn? And then once you are hooked, how much more?

    Once you have gambling access on your phone forget it man you will be at it all the time. It's the fastest growing form of gambling by far and gambling is the fastest growing addiction now.

They want to make a mug out of you, fleece you, and they will. If you ever win it is generally just a matter of how long it will be until they get it back and more. Just trust me on this one mate and leave it.

    Thanks for the replies. I appreciate everyone's concern but I do know the dangers. All I want to do give it a small try. I don't intend to be blowing more than what I spend trying the euromillions once or twice a week. My username is a joke, I'm a very careful person, hence me asking advice.

    I cant get my head around someone wanting to start gambling. I wouldnt consider myself a 'gambler' but i like some sports betting on events im interested in and i play small stakes poker. I guess most of us got into betting by accident, your team playing a big game and you put a small bet on etc. If the OP doesnt know the dangers of the casino games then they really dont have a clue so should stay away

    Thanks for your reply. I should have been clearer that small stakes/casual is all I was considering anyway. I know, it’s easy to get addicted for anyone but since I only spend a tenner on euromillions and lotto instant win games every so often and never feel tempted to push it, I think I’m safe enough. I’ve considered whether I’m in danger of getting into trouble but given what I know about myself and the habits I already have I think I’m pretty safe. I am cautious to the point where I’m the safe, boring one at parties. But I asked advice about casino games because I KNOW I don’t know anything about it so that’s why I was asking. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to answer me :)

    All gamblers tend to start small. I was very strict with my stakes when I started gambling. I remember a time when I'd be cut up about losing 30 euro. Fast forward 10 years and I've made a mess of my life in the intervening period. Lost thousands. But I always had a serious interest in sport and only gambled on that (apart from a stint at the roulette tables in London casinos).
    Wouldn't go near it op, not worth the risk, particularly when you've previously had no knowledge of what you're getting involved in.

    As someone above was saying the online casino stuff is the biggest mugs game of all. Total fix, that's why firms offering serious bonuses to start you off.
