If you finish the Treasure Hunt in GTA Online you will be rewarded with a Gold Revolver which if you get 50 headshots with(i think) then you will have it unlocked in RDR2.

It's grand, you made my post look like dog **** anyway :pac:

I didn't realise the collector's box doesn't even have the game. Who the **** is gonna buy that? Oh, a jigsaw puzzle?? Well that changes everything.

100 quid for some story missions and online rank boost is manky. I'll be getting my copy from Smyths for 55 quid!!

Probably catering for those who buy the base game digitally.

I've wanted the special editions to come with an option for digital, no desire to buy physical.

The cheaper editions come with the map (the world map not the treasure map) which is a bit **** when the digital cost the same.

Special editions without the game always make me laugh.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,305 ✭✭✭Joshua J

Having a better horse and more supplies would dilute the authentic gameplay in my eyes so I'll just go standard I reckon.

Getting quite worried about this one with all the crap attached to this. Red Dead Online could very well consume this whole.

GTAO made them billions. You can be sure RDRO will be priority number one.

They shouldn’t forget how they got their success which is built on quality single player games.

I really liked RDR’s online mode last time out btw.

Money will make them forget very quickly.

I don't see it affecting the single player that much to be honest. They won't release any additional story content after release, as it's all about the online side of things, but the base game will be extremely well made, and have the usual Rockstar polish.

They didn't look remotely interested in making single player DLC for GTA V which is a concern

As long as the SP is good I'll be happy.

I'll be plumping for the standard edition and will end up playing online with a few mates and probably a crew from Boards but I wont sink unnecessary money into the game in micro transactions.

It was and still is a massive earner for them in GTA V so I can see things in RDR2 like bigger and better ranches, horses, stagecoaches, guns, etc costing a small fortune online.

The original RDR multiplayer was incredible. I hope they stick to that, rather than go to far towards GTAO, which I never took to.

In any case, its the story that will make or break it.

Never got in to GTAO, mostly because it was an unreliable heap of garbage at the start and I could never maintain a connection or stay in the same game as friends. Did they ever fix that?

Yeah. It was actually really enjoyable for a long time, it got just got harder to fill a lobby as it went on. I think it suffered from too many options.
16 player races were great craic and the heists were good for a while.

I remember the boosting lobbies being full of Boardsies in the early days, made an absolute fortune during it. Simpler times.

It would be nice if you could paint your wagon in the game.

    "Gonna paint a wagon,
    Gonna paint it good.
    We ain't braggin'
    We're gonna coat that wood"

to be honest this is the first rockstar game in my memory where i am questioning its quality what with all this crap trying to force people to pre order, heres hoping they arnt trying to cash in on this before reviews end up being terrible.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 23,465 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kiith

It's good to be skeptical, given Take 2's push for games as a service. They will definitely be pushing as much crap into this as they can, as it's just too lucrative for them not to.

Remember, you don't have to pre-order it.

i find the older i get the more sceptical and cynical i get of the entire industry :( rockstar was one of the last big developers i had 100% faith in, this crap is destroying that for me, its like i am looking at an assassins creed release or something :D
