Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

In the attached screenshot there are some pink shaded areas, north and south of Wicklow mountains park and south of Newbridge. What are they? Thanks.

    EDIT: screenshot don't attach... :-(

Shaded areas usually show rain! Or more correctly, precipitation.

There is a legend below the map that shows what each colour represents.

I can't see anything in the Wicklow area at the moment, though, so not sure what you're seeing.

Are they army areas? Maybe have radar restrictions?

Certainly they're around where there are army areas

I think the one in Wicklow is the Army training base in the Glen of Imaal.

I think the bigger one is Glen of imal. Not sure why met.ie would show them up though. They are shown on aviation charts though.

Military range areas and MOA (restricted airspace) are naturally different things however the Glen, Curragh etc are also MOAs.

They're shown on the Rainfall map because it uses OpenStreetMap and that just happens to show them shaded prominently in red.
