    Hi all,

Looking for advice on the motor with the best head clearance. I barely know where to start as I presumed some of SUVs would be ideal but a lot of the them have the same clearance if not less than saloon just higher off the ground.

Budget of 10k and open to literally at type of car, SUV or MPV. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for that . Ya the galaxy is definitely an option looking on DD. From a saloon perspective what car would the best headroom? A friend of mine recommended a Skoda Superb as it’s very spacious

7 seater ford connect? You'd want to be like beaker from the Muppet show to hit your head on the high roof version!! Be careful of ex taxi's though..

Ford connect wouldn’t be a runner for a family car , more of commercial type ?

While convertibles are great this time of year, I would need a standard roofed car. Had a bmw 320 for awhile and sat in afew 520s over the years , never was comfortable so BMW not a runner for us.

Afew friends have recommended a Range Rover ? Anybody any experience of the space and head clearance in these discovery range ?

I've a 6 foot 8 friend and he's well built too, he drove an e46 320d for years and had no problems. He reckoned more down to the seating and wheel adjustments than height of roof. Hes in a people carrier now but not of his own chooding he has 3 small kids.
    What height are you OP.

7 seater Tourneau is the model I was talking about.

Im 6'4 but i need to sit on cushion when driving so this is causing me all kinds of issues with headroom.

I really appreciate all the replies -- We are thinking a Ford Galaxy might be the best option. The headroom is great in front, 2nd row and in the 3rd set of seats? Any reasons why this is a mistake Vs cars like Sharan, alhambra, S-max or Zafira?

A lot of standard saloons have more headroom that the crossovers. Just due to sitting position. When you sit up straight it gets tight.

e.g. I've oodles of space in my 5 series but head touches roof of mates santa fe. Superb and Passat plenty headroom.
