Cost of setting set in bikeing.

    As title says.
    Could someone please tell me what cost could be in applying for a bike licence would be.
    And where would be the best place in Galway to apply and sit the exam.

    It's been a while but I think the IBT is 300-400. The other admin stuff , license, test etc. isn't that expensive.

    As a really rough breakdown on literally just getting up and running, newer and better gear comes with time.

    IBT - Varies based on where you live, between €350 and €500.
    Bike - €1,500 + depending on what you want.
    Insurance - this varies massively based on age, bike and so on.
    Helmet - €120 is a good 'starting' price, but more you spend the better.
    Gloves - €40
    Pants - €90. Richa do a great pair of waterproof pants I picked up last year, have ridden through every **** storm you can think of in the last year and been dry as a bone.
    Boots - €90 or so to start off.

    Looking at about €2340 to get the ball rolling, not including insurance
