I don't get anything at all. I guess they forgot to implement it for legacy themes. Or your new layouts are selling on a **** tonne of your information.

Watched the promo video for the new Atari, piqued my interest enough for me to pop over to indiegogo to have a closer look. Saw the price, interest unpiqued.

Anyone have any idea where to get replacement SNES/Super Famicom shells?

Have 2 smashed ones that I'd really like to back to life

Well I said over on another thread my gameboy micro had a cracked screen. I'm a moron, it was a hair stuck under the faceplate. Incidentally, the prices they go for nowadays is mad, I paid about 30 quid for mine boxed about 10 years ago, and now it's in and around 3 figures. Not that I'd sell mine plus the kids have destroyed it over the years anyway.

I have had a few, my current one will be my last, never letting it go!
I've also got a spare face plate, which is handy, they are like hens teeth!
I must pick up a charger for it, the one I have isn't terribly convenient.

When did they get so expensive?!

    2iu2s7t.png

I remember you could get them for like 20-30 quid a few years ago

They still come up on Adverts for better money.
    Just a waiting game really.

My Life in Gaming - Final Destination Edition.

Missus was driving us out to Bray to pick up the BVM, Id also sourced a nice little IKEA unit to put it on. Super excited and was going to spend today setting it all up.

Driving along and suddenly the car goes screwy at Foxrock and decides it doesn't want to work anymore. Just about managed to get it off the road before it died. Acrid smell - clutch is gone.

Cue me standing on the side of the road for an hour waiting for a tow truck. Got to Bray alright, but to see my mechanic and not my folks for the monitor!

O1s1n, have you ever considered that maybe gaming isn’t for you? :p

He's kinda in no mans land now. Keep the collection, and risk nuclear war. Sell the collection, and risk death by leprosy.

Probably slip and be killed when the 3DO falls on his head.
Not a bad way to go, to be fair.

Car is fixed, so I'll be trying that again this weekend. Might be time to start digging your bunkers and playing some Fallout 3

Any of you lads have much experience buying from Japan? I've noticed the sellers are fairly competitive and the games don't seem to be as scarce either. I've seen 3-4 copies of a game all priced the same whereas PAL versions on eBay there'd be 3-4 copies in total. Shipping rates are feck all too. Don't mind waiting 2-3 weeks. Just looking at picking up the odd game. Mainly rail shooters or fighters.

On holidays in Majorca at the moment and there are two battered cabs in the apartment complex - a nice big House of the Dead 2 cab and a 2 player sit down Daytona USA cab.

The Daytona cab had one dodgy screen, looks like the tube is going and the speakers appear done too.

The HOTD2 cab is missing one of the guns and appears to have a LG LCD screen in the cab which I doubt it is the original one, not powered on.

Pity, would love to have those in good nick in my place :-(

Right guys i'm stuck for space and cant decide what to keep, the amstrad cpc464 or the atari st 520stfm, enjoy both of them but cant choose which to part with.
I like both equally, which is the more powerful of the two, i'm leaning towards the ST since its boxed but hard to make a decision.

Depending on the game it can certainly be cheaper to get it from Japan. As long as the language barrier won't be an issue and you keep it under the customs limit you're laughing

I wish it was possible to lower a max bid on eBay, misread UK postage as international due to UK post being shown in Euro and didn't want to go too high.

I'm sure there's a reason for it, but feck it!

I bought most of my (modest) retro collection off Yahoo Auctions Japan. Loads of bargains on there and condition of what I got was top notch.

So I've hosted most of the setup of my bartop and I'm starting again from scratch.

Saved the NAOMI, Taito x2 and Sega Dreamcast files but have hosted everything else.

I'm giving Hyperspin one last ditch effort.

I grabbed a full 800Gb or so setup from... sources... a while back. Should all be preconfigured.

With only a 100Mb Ethernet card in there though transfer from my NAS is going to take...

    wHhdpal.png

    ...a while.

Then of course I have to unrar mostly everything so that'll take time too.

Hopefully in two days time I'll have a machine that I can just turn on and play and it'll finally get some further usage!

Sweet Jesus, that time is likely to increase too.

Sega releasing a bluetooth controller designed off the Saturns pad

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,479 ✭✭✭DaveyDave

Oooh, I want one. But I'd never use it. But I love the Saturn pad...

I was expecting one of 3 things: Limited release, really expensive or limited to US only. Surprisingly it's none of those.

Shame it doesn't have a rechargeable battery.

The Spectrum Next cased model is hopefully not too far away now though.
