I really hope it's building to something more. Gary told Sarah there was something she didn't know and he was checking his phone. Anna released from prison? Back to save the day, kill Phelan or be killed by him?

Wtf with Gary??? He's an ex soldier, who supposedly had PTSD, therefore I assume he was stationed at some brutal war torn country??? He worked security for Ukraine, etc...and 5ft slim man (David) almost killed him and a man over twice his age can take him down more than once....preposterous :rolleyes:

The only way this week of Corrie can redeem itself is with an all out blood bath, and cull some pointless characters. Or with a cull of the writing staff who clearly don't watch it and don't seem to inhabit this planet.

A couple of things that stood out as being nonsensical:

Daniels phone rings, its the nursing home saying theyve a place for the little old lady living with him. Who do they tell? Not Daniel, no, the little old lady who answers his phone. They then give her all the details and don't follow up with him. That would never happen in real life.

Bad television:
Phelan to Gary: you dont have it in you(When Gary has hit him with a plank before)
Good television:
Phelan to Gary: you dont have it in.WHACK!
Gary: sorry Pat, what was that?

How did Jack get into where Phelan was? They clearly showed a high up lock which Sarah could just reach when she found Gary.

Its really been so poor this week.

Carla, who ALWAYS wears stilettos, had a pair of Uggs on under her bridesmaid's dress. When behind the scenes photos are shown, the actresses are often wearing Uggs. I wonder if this was a mistake tonight? I can't imagine Carla owning Uggs!

Not sure what Tims Dad had to do with saving the wedding and what’s more I can’t see how Robert would be listening to Hospital radio (where Tims dad broadcasts from)bombing towards London

I think Seb is shot and will die - disappointing because I feel he is one of the best young actors in Corrie at the moment.

Looks like Michelle will also be shot but surely they wont kill her off.

Phelan to be killed by someone (dont think he will surrender) before Anna sails off into the sunset next week

A disappointing week so far apart from Anna's return - something big has to happen tomorrow

Totally thought today was Friday and was thinking they can't leave us till next Monday with all this!

Been a very sloppy week all round. I've hated Phelan, admired him, hated him and now he's won me over. I don't want him to die. I loved what he said to Eileen, he finally told her the truth, slap in the face!

It was a strange what they have done this week with so much potential and yet we have silly other stories going on.

The David story is important and best aired at this time of evening/night but the rest meh.

Tim's Dad rang a mate at Weatherfield FM to get Michelle on his mates show. That was the connection.

If the cops searched Pat's office and storeroom they would have used specialist dogs who sniff out firearms as they were looking for the gun that shot Luke. Stupid story that he had it in some "special hiding place".

Tim's dad works with the local hospital radio, but obviously has connections in Weatherfield FM - the announcer "credited" Geoff, Tim's father, for causing the interruption.

Carla was wearing Uggs but, unlike someone mentioned beforehand, it was part of the scene and not a continuity error. She had her proper shoes in her hand and obviously did it for comfort (unusual for her but still) while rushing around and waiting for Robert etc.

No problem, it was very brief - Tim had called him "Geoffster" when he rang him and I believe the radio host called him that too. I was tempted to turn on subtitles to be sure but I didn't care enough
