    ZZ to Juve
    Allegri to Chelsea

Ouch not sure I would like that

Nah, if anything Allegri will go to Madrid

Zidane has resigned from Madrid, surely Hazard wont go nowhere now as he always idolised Zidane......unless Zidane is coming here. :pac:

That would be okay with me. :D If he's sick of winning the Champions League we can guarantee him we won't be winning it next season. :pac:

I still dont buy into Zidane being a good manager. He's been very successful in cup competitions as he has a wealth of talent at his disposal and no doubt commands a great deal of respect and is able to wind up his team when required. But he is no tactician and won't win games week in week out. Which is fine in La Liga. But the PL is another game entirely.

New stadium is off the plans for the moment anyway.

Great! We might have more to spend on players now.

No hope, its one of 3 scenarios for me.

Roman is posturing over the visa issue - Highly likely

Roman is selling - Highly unlikely

They couldnt find the money to back it - Unlikely

Stadium spend doesnt impact on FFP and the club bought extra land as well as people that were holding out for more compensation for their land rights only a few months back.

I think this is Roman throwing the toys out of the pram over the Visa issue.

If he does recall the loans and sells up, we'll be grand. We're worth an insane amount of money.

Contracts for demolition work and doing the new tunnels over the train tracks were being handed out only last month.

I dont think we went this far down the tracks (literally) to stop at this point.

In fairness to him, he’s getting a raw deal with the visa, he’s dumped some money into their economy as it is and that’s just the footballing side of things. God only knows what other pies his hands are in. Won’t his taxes be paid in Israel now?

Hes not paying any personal tax for the next 10 years in Israel, it was part of his citizenship. :pac:

I dont think its down to the 'unfavourable financial conditions'. His personal wealth has only increased in the last few years.

Read somewhere he gets 10 years tax free in Israel so may not be paying any tax for a while.

Roman is high profile there are many Russians with a lot invested in the UK who won't be headline news when they pull out - unlikely to be good for the UK economy a lot of good construction jobs just put in danger now bound to be more effects also.

There was always going to be a UK reaction to your man being poisoned - you really can't let that go but you can't go around making life difficult for innocent people neither. And I would be pretty certain Roman had nowt to do with that.

Russians at one stage were buying up all the desirable sites in London for homes, offices and the like.

If they all pull out (they wont) it will be a disaster for the UK, I've no doubt that some will pull their riches from the UK though.

Ya and rightfully so but they found no concrete evidence of Russian involvement even though its pretty clear it was them, its hardly reason enough to deny a guys Visa who has been here for 15 odd years spending millions.

As an Israeli, he doesnt need a Visa anyway to go to the UK.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,606 ✭✭✭grumpymunster

Needs one to work there but he does not hold a job as such at Chelsea. It was an investors visa he held in which he committed a certain minimum investment (along the lines of ST£10M I think, also assume p.a.) so could be why he has stopped investment - makes some sense to me a lowly engineer at least.

Tbf MArtial and Rashford have been given plenty of time on the pitch but have shown there inexperience.

I do rate Willian but with his current age it's only short term.

What has happened with Willian? why has he fallen out of grace at Chelsea? J admittedly don’t watch a lot of Chelsea but always like the cut of his jib when I see him!!!

Also, is Conte contracted till tomorrow? Is that plus visa gate holding up his departure?

He very deliberately blocked Conte out of a team photo on Instagram after winning the FA Cup, covering him up with Cups instead.

There has been longstanding rumors that the Brazilians at Chelsea seem to have sowed lots of managerial discord, but what Willian did was the height of disrespect. Even if you don't agree with Conte's methods, respect what he's helped the club achieve.

    Conte is contracted til 2019

Granted that was a dick move but wasn’t he in and out of the team all season? Was his form poor? Am I wrong in thinking he’s generally consistent, energetic and a hard worker?

He's consistently inconsistent. He plays well for 1/4 of the season and thinks he should be an automatic starter. He has never delivered for Chelsea for a full season. (everyone has an off game, but he has off months)

He's grand as a backup. Look at his goals/assists, he never breaks double digits for the season, despite playing the vast majority of games for a good few of them.

He's grand when everything is going his way, but honestly our game against Huddersfield this season, where Conte rested Hazard and played Willian instead sums him up. He gave Willian the responsibility to be the difference maker and he wilted. He takes one kick early in the game and he sulks for the rest of it. They are fighting for their lives, he should be expecting to get roughed up. He has a serious attitude problem.

I might be a tad bit harsh, but honestly he's not the answer to your problems. He'd play wide right for ye I'd say, but ye are crying out for someone to stretch the game. He's more inclined to drift centrally and do step overs on the outside of the box, he'd be a good squad option, but he's not gonna be much of a help breaking down a solid defense.

Hes always frustrated me to be honest, even the year where he was our best player was only because nobody else turned up.
The best game I've ever seen him play was against us when he played for shackter (spelling??)

I would agree with that view of Willian (beware the Ides of Peteeed though). Can be great and woeful in one move no mind match, it is possible the PL is just a tad too physical for him. Seems to love Jose though so would not surprise me if he does end up there - then again as a Chelsea fan of >40 years nothing surprises me with the club anymore.
It has been an interesting day really in many ways we will not be bored this summer me thinks.
