Bush intentionally misled on Iraq WMDs - Is that still a conspiracy theory?

Aliens exist - The beat scientific minds we have all believe there is life out there.

The government controls minds with TV 15 - Never heard of that.

CIA developed crack - They did run drugs so that's an easy box to tick for people doing a questionaire.

Bin Laden is alive - Decently fair. He shouldn't have been thrown of a boat.

Lizard people control politics - 4 percent of people have a sense of humour, I hope.

Just how unbefúckinlievably obtuse must one be to compare an African-American to a character in Planet of the Apes?

    Stunning.

Barr's a serial offender. You may remember Susan Rice was also an African-American woman in the Obama administration. From 2013:

Entertainers should just stay out of politics and stick to the entertainment industry. It brings nothing but trouble. Elvis had a mantra about staying out of politics as much as he possibly could. Taylor Swift never really talks about politics, don't know her views on anything really and she sells well among both tribes in America.

That makes for some scary reading

Would love to see a more up to date version of that poll, if you check the actual pol it cross references who people voted for in the 2012 elections and how the answers are distributed.

What do people mean when they say the new world order is a conspiracy theory? I mean it’s literally what daddy bush said.

She's not really in a position of moral authority re. criticising someone else's appearance. I'd give the mirrors a swerve if I were her.

Bit of a header with access to twitter is always going to end in tears (or the whitehouse)- eg

“Sorry to have tweeted incorrect info about you!,” she wrote, again invoking Soros, a frequent target of Trump and the right. “I Please forgive me! By the way, George Soros is a nazi who turned in his fellow Jews 2 be murdered in German concentration camps & stole their wealth-were you aware of that? But, we all make mistakes, right Chelsea?”

It started with a tweet from Roseanne Barr about ex-Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett. Jarrett was born in Iran to a black father and white mother. Barr tweeted what she claimed was a joke, comparing Jarrett to an ape and connecting her to the Muslim Brotherhood: "Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=VJ”

Within an hour, Wanda Sykes announced that she was leaving the show as Consulting Producer. Sara Gilbert tweeted her displeasure. A few hours later, ABC announced the show has been cancelled.

Not that I'll defend what she did, but it's a bit rich from Wanda Sykes, she is a racist bigot herself - but it's racism against whites so it's all good..

She's ruined a good thing for so many others on the show by spouting this drivil maybe Fox might give her a one manatee show, hope John Goodman kicks her three asses.

They started the 10th series this year.

indeed it was mainly to fill a void left by the cancellation of Tim Allen's show, which the right got infuriated about - even though they didn't watch it, and the ratings slid, so the network made a call to pull it believing they weren't going to magically recover under Trump.

What a pity. One of my all time favourite comedy shows. Mind you the first few episodes of the first new series weren't great but maybe it would have got going later but we'll never know now. Whatever about he wacky opinions it was utterly stupid of her to voice them when she was getting hers and others careers back on track. She's lost a lot of fans and respect over this, permanently.

There's no way they could have continued the show in any event. Even if ABC hadn't cancelled it, how many of the cast would have returned for Season 2? Galecki? Gilbert? Goodman? Good luck with writing the script to explain all the absences.

More broadly, ABC is owned by Disney, and even if Roseanne itself held onto every cast and production member, the related ABC and Disney talent might not want to be associated with a network/corporation that's swallows principles to keep profits.

In the short term, ABC will take a hit. in the longer term, their brand will have shown itself to be on the right side of history. But what I would point out is that Barr was well-known to be a rabid conspiracy theorist (she claimed Chelsea Clinton was married to a nephew of George Soros) and had made plenty of unsavoury tweets.

ABC knew this and still commissioned the Roseanne re-boot. I'm guessing that they thought millions of dollars a year would keep Barr on the straight and narrow. Apparently not.

I agree with you. I wasn't suggesting ABC made the wrong decision, I just think its a pity the way it's turned out.

You know there’s easier ways to get banned than what you’re currently doing?

Was that not the start of a joke?

A few months ago, didn't she tweet about how all the Irish were anti-Semitic?

    It's over year now
American actress and comedian Roseanne Barr took to Twitter to accuse Ireland of hosting radical antisemites, in a series of tweets about Irish history last night.

“Ireland hosting radical antisemites whose goal is the Destruction of Jewish Tribal Lands and Jewish Sovereignty in Judea (Israel). #Boycott” she wrote.

One user was quick to reply with the statement “get used to it. Ireland will stand by those suffering injustice. Freedom for Palestine.”

Barr went on to display a lack of knowledge of Irish history when she hit back and said “give Ireland back to the British too.

ABC cancelled it, Fox picked it up believing it would appeal to their 70 year old redneck viewership. ABC then had a need for a show to replace it. Hence the Roseanne re-boot.

Don't be surprised if Fox doesn't try to also pick up 'Roseanne'. The problem is that few, if any, cast members will want to go with her.

Are Disney not buying Fox? The entertainment wing not the news entertainment wing I mean?
