I actually took a picture last night of it and all.

That's one monster of a CRT! how big is that? 32 inches? The metal thing it's on looks great.

Yeah not sure I'd sit the BVM on that red one above. The unit I had the 3 CRTs sitting on I can't find on the Ikea site now.

@o1s1n: Whatever you go for it will most likely have to sit out from the wall a bit as it won't be deep enough to sit the monitor fully on it - the back will hang out if you get me.

Oh yeah I remember seeing photos of that, that's kind of what I was thinking of height wise. It's a low enough profile so it minimizes the size of the monitors somewhat.

The arse on the thing is massive alright isn't it? :D They tend to put all the video cards in behind the neckboard on those monitors, so they end up with an even more extended back than a regular CRT.

I'm really going to have to put more of an effort into the space I have, it's fecking chaotic

Actually here's an old picture of the unit I have - sturdy as feck and can fit loads of consoles in it - no annoying back panels on it either.

Jelous of that Trinitron on the end there! That an KV-LS30? Been trying to find one of those in the wild for a while now...always the widescreen ones knocking around and never the 4:3. Sweet setup!

Really looking forward to Racing Apex coming out. It looks like Virtua Racing on steroids with better FPS, visuals, vehicle damage and a combat mode. And hopefully better handling also. They absolutely nailed the low polygon aesthetic imo.

Yep, KV-21LS30B. Great little TV she is, colours just pop.

Gorgeous looking but it needs a better sense of speed when you're doing 400 kph! :)

There was a game very similar to this called 90's Arcade Racer that supposed to come out a few years ago but has never seen the light of day. I think Sega's Lawyers probably came knocking.

I'd say that's easily solved by switching to the bonnet cam or inside view. The Chase cam is very far back and the road looks very wide angled impacting the sense of speed.

I hope there's an option to disable the car rotation when in chase cam as I'm not a fan of it.

I remember Auto Modellista many moons ago on the PS2, looked absolutely incredible, cel shaded and moved beautifully, all was perfect right up to the point you tried to play it, turned out they forgot that bit.
    Still, looked great

This may sound peculiar but does anyone else have the problem on the touch site where the latest post won't display if its requires making a new page.
Once another post is made everything goes back to normal.
Only happens to me on this thread too

The thing I find most annoying about it is the lack of online functionality for those of us living in Europe. Japan and US versions had it, and the Xbox port had it, but they never released it here.

That happens to me too, from time to time.

I was only thinking of Auto Modellista yesterday! It looked awesome but I don't remember the handling being very good.

Yeah I get that too, and only on this thread.

It might be because the thread is approaching critical mass 10,000 posts?

I wish I only had that problem. I've a terms and conditions have changed pop up on my mobile site taking up most of the screen with an agree button that doesn't work making the site unusable.

I still use the brown theme.

Same here, I usually view as desktop or sometimes private works. I've had it happen on beers and get something new, dunno if it happens outside this thread

I tend to use the desktop site on my tablet and even my phone.

It has to be done really when embedding images.

It's taken a little longer to get there this time!
Things were a little quiet last year, I blame the mod... Handsome b@stard.

Are there any good wiki type pages for old arcade games, like shinobi etc, trivia, gameplay etc.

    Something like this
    https://strategywiki.org/wiki/Tetris_(Atari)

but also with trivia facts etc.

That happens to me too. Despite selecting "I agree" it pops up on every new page.

These notifications are a bit much.

I keep almost reflexively hitting yes to notification alerts on websites as a result.

Yeah I thought the cookie warnings on websites were bad enough before, it's insanely over the top after GDPR.
